1 yI live in Los Angeles people are paranoid here they think it’s either the police or some gang bangers or somebody burned or somebody like the bank who’s to repossess something. Me I live in a hotel that’s been converted into apartments and we have security who doesn’t let anyone who doesn’t live here come in. What I mean is we’re not allowed to have visitors which is weird and these people who are the managers of the previous hotel still thinking their running a hotel I feel like it’s a compound don’t get me wrong the place is nice kind of luxurious but really?

1 yPretty much anyone. Someone will answer the door and offer coffee, tea, or a soda and cookies... always cookies. Whoever wants to socialize will come out to the family room. Whoever doesn't want to socialize won't.

1 yLiterally no one. I have stared at people (family, friends, bfs, strangers) through the blinds AND sat there not answering the door as if they dont exist. I hate when people show up unannounced

1 yIt's hard to say since I wouldn't really turn someone away just because they showed up unannounced.
I guess anyone who has a reason to be there. Friends, family, people I conduct business with me or at least are only a couple degrees of separation who already does but wishes to.
But I don't know if j. j Abrams knocked on my door and wanted to hang out, what am I gonna do, say "call next time" and slam the door? 😂

1 yNobody should show up unannounced unless they don’t mind a wasted journey should I not be in or not want their company. I have camera view of my doors and always screen who I will answer my door to. I thought checking that someone was available and wanted you to come over was a generally accepted etiquette?
00 Reply6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Nobody. My wife and I live on 30 acres up a 4/10 mile long driveway on a hill. We don't want anyone dropping by unannounced.
Plus, we like to straighten up the place if we are expecting company.13 Reply- 1 y
Oh! come on, It won't be so bad, I will help clean the rainwater gutters, and do some work around the yard.
You can teach me how you chopped firewood, in the good old days.
You can even shoot a few pretty little lies to Grandma in my name (We all know, Grandma cannot be mad at their grandkids).
We can go fishing or hunting, whatever excuse you need for the quiet away from daily chaos, for a change.
Anonymous(25-29)1 yPossibly the most taboo thing I ever did was taking my ex home from a party that she got wasted at & she initiated sex with me while her little sister was in the next bed "sleeping" but she passed out during. I ended up having sex with her little sister in the next bed all night right next to her.

1 yBack in the pre-cellphone days it was more common to show up unannounced. Now with cell phones it is more of an expectation to call before dropping by, since if you're in the area you can easily call to see if it is OK.

1 yMy mom and siblings. Even the post man cannot show up unnoticed. He better send out a ‘out for delivery’ email 😆 I’m known for not opening doors. No appointments means no entry.
