It is not an abortion it is a test of infidelity. It does not mention the death of the child because it does not say that she IS pregnant. That being said, there are a lot of purposeful misreadings and translations that have been lost from the original texts. For example, that line about man laying with another man, can and is correctly translated to man should not lay with a child the same as he would with a woman. Condoms are technically birth control and they do work to not get pregnant or spread most diseases. If people choose not to do that, then it's basically their own fault they got knocked up or knocked someone up. Plus if a condom breaks or you don't wear one buy a Plan B pill it works too (I have had to do that), so there should be no unwanted babies and no need to kill them.
