My response: Yes, it is important to look at the world’s economic, social, and political problems by looking at each subject on a deeper level of understanding not just at a surface level. By examining data from a wide range of participants & considering a wide range of variables we can reach a conclusion of how we got to this point therefore find a solution grounded in reality to move us forward in progressing rather than regressing. That principle alone makes me support ‘Feminist Theory’.

Negative. If it stopped at gender equality rather than equity, and then continuing with the narrative of a patriarchy and the oppression of women I could get behind it.

As a movement feminism is more like a handful of broken glass though. Many different ideologies, all of which are after my blood.

So you don’t believe it is something that should be taught through the education system?

Nope. I had a women's and gender studies class I had to take as a humanities elective. It was a huge joke. I treated it as a joke, and convinced the class that segregation and war were empowering, this was in like 2010.

The whole basis was in civil rights movements following desperation in war which led to laws like segregation, which were basically better than what was in place before, but still not acceptable to those who had tasted the forbidden fruit of freedom. In ways like not being persecuted for homosexuality or getting French hookers and integrated housing in Europe.

Compared to coming back home and being treated the same as before the war, with far different experiences.

So in order to have equality every marginalized group needs to endure bitter struggles and war and then experience being separated from society to truly fight for the parity of equal rights and integration.

Anyway, the project, minus the experience of veterans, was absolute bullshit, but it sang to their black little marxist hearts. I got an A, and went back to being ignored, and ignoring my classmates.

The only downside of feminist theory is the fact that femininity is based off of a present idea, if not a future idea, of what a woman is. Masculinity, which has always been based on past generations and rarely acknowledges new ones, doesn’t like that and openly criticizes it because they don’t like the changes. That’s really the only downside: constant change to what defines feminine to a masculine mind.
