Not directly. I live on the east coast of Florida so it was only like 2.6 inches of rain and some light wind that brought down a couple small limbs from large trees. Just a couple stormy days here. No damage for me. My brother's girlfriends house almost got flooded. The storm surge was like an inch away from going through her front door, but she got lucky. As to government response, well Governor DeSantis is doing a great job as usual. He and the rest of Florida are rapidly responding to resolve the problem in our state and bring services back to normal. DeSantis has even sent some of our people to North Carolina to pick up the slack being that Biden and Harris are incompetent. Trump has also showed up to comfort and lead people and has brought supplies and equipment to people in need. Meanwhile bumbling Biden is off who knows were doing jack shit and offering no more help. Same goes for Harris.
Indirectly the damage to the region will affect us all as a country in many different ways. There is major impacts to agriculture, forestry, mining, manufacturing, and logistics. So food and clothing will go up in price as will housing, semiconductors, automobiles, etc. It's a national problem, but it seems like leadership is coming from the states.
I, personally, was not. My brother was in Asheville, though. He and his fiancee were able to get out of the disaster area pretty quickly. Said he's never been that scared for his life before... and based on the photos I've seen, I can believe it.
Biden is generous and willing to share the countries' wealth to help those who are in conditions of desperation and need. Trump once refused to share national funds with the victims of a national disaster and the state had to scramble to find money to save lives.
No but a friend of mine was. House is damaged, road was flooded, etc.
Sorry to hear that.

I did not have anything severe, just a lot of rain. I'm not ukranain so I don't expect billions to be flowing into my area to help those who were affected.
It's not an opinion when it's fact.
"Former President Donald Trump falsely claimed that Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp hasn’t been able to reach President Joe Biden to discuss Hurricane Helene's impacts on his state.
“He has been calling the president, but has not been able to get him,” Trump said at a news conference at a furniture store in Valdosta, Georgia.
Yet earlier in the day Kemp, a Republican, said that he initially missed Biden’s call but that he called back and that the two were able to connect Sunday evening."

Whose money? Oh, not his, and not $2 million..
eu.usatoday.com/.../
So now you're saying it's a gofundme page, not Trump. It's raised $4 million, not $25 million. Trump is not one of the donors. It wouldn't be the first time Trump stole money intended to be charitable donations. There's no evidence that Trump donated $25 million anywhere. Sucker.

@goaded Really? Because I see him helping. I see you doing nothing. All the people you shitlibs hate... Trump, Elon, trump voters, Christian charities, churches, rednecks... they're pouring their hearts into saving people and providing assistance. While you fucksticks are doing nothing. You're doing so little you're not even virtue signaling and changing your profile pic to a flag of NC.
No, you don't see him helping, you see Trump lying about how Biden is helping (the orders were signed before the storm hit and Biden has been giving the governors everything they asked for), and that a governor couldn't get in touch with Biden when they'd already announced the conversation hours before. You also see a member of Trump's team setting up a gofundme which got not a penny from Trump.
Trump really cares about the American people!
"Trump initially refused to approve disaster aid for California after deadly wildfires in 2018 because of the state’s Democratic leanings.
But Harvey said Trump changed his mind after Harvey pulled voting results to show him that heavily damaged Orange County, California, had more Trump supporters than the entire state of Iowa, Harvey said."

The Biden/Harris administration dropped the ball:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/uciDk9xaifIIt was horrible in Seattle. All those pictures from Florida and North Carolina.
Yeah we mainly had a large power and internet outage and flooding with trees falling on houses and blocking roads
No I live out west.
