It depends how well they're managed. I've been managing large groups for a few years now, and I can pull every tiny detail about their activity. I can see that the bottom 20% does almost nothing and are waiting to be fired. The top 20% do about double average. And the middle 60% just hovers around the average.

I pulled the #1 and last place performer metrics once, and the average daily performance for #1 was 18 cases, and for last place was 1.2 cases. Ms. 1.2 got the boot. That was roughly 36 minutes of productivity per day. The expectation was 4-5 hours per day.
