If you listen to what girls say they want, most guys are excluded and they are only interested in that 20%. And if you listen to what guys say they want, most girls are excluded and guys are only interested in the upper 20%.

BUT. . . go to the mall, have a seat in a major corridor, and look at the couples strolling by. They look like ordinary people. The guys aren't 6 feet tall and the girls aren't beautiful blondes with 36D boobs.

HERE IS THE TRUTH and you are old enough that you should already know this: Most people date partners who do not match their ideal preferences. The "ideal" woman is just a fantasy for most of us. We date the girls who are actually available, we get turned on by them, we have sex, we fall in love, have families, and grow old with women who DON'T look like movie stars or porn stars. And girls date the guys who are actually available, they get turned on by them, have sex, fall in love, have babies, and grow old with men who AREN'T 6' tall, don't have expensive sports cars, or look like the Marlboro Man.

The 80/20 rule is just an excuse invented by butt hurt little boys who don't know how to pick up the pieces, dust themselves off, and keep moving forward.

the numbers may not exactly be 80/20 but the implication is there

why would the majority of women find the majority of men attractive? don't just think small scale but large scale.

instead of limiting men only to famous celebs, pro-athletes or CEOs in the western world, how about all the other men in the rest of the world?

what about the farmer in Vietnam or the fisherman in the Solomon Islands or the sheep herder in Nepal or the nomadic scavenger somewhere in Africa. that's what more than 80% of the men in the world are.

Most women seek men who are at their level, cause they expect a guy beyond their level to be unfaithful or lazy in their relationship with them. Some women want rich guys, but most of these woman work very hard, they just don’t work hard in ways that increase their income in a direct way.

Yeah it's pretty accurate if you actually listen to what young women say they want these days. As soon as they say "must be over 6ft", the 80/20 rule immediately applies. And we all know that's not the only requirement, it's just the tip of the iceberg.

It's not even 80/20 anymore. It's more like 90/10. Then those same women expect after years of only choosing the top guys to sleep with, they expect regular guys to marry whatever's left of them. No way.

It's not a myth. But you'll be hard pressed to find a woman to admit to that. Because even if they are going to reject you they still want you to make an effort.
