Describe “unnaturally liberal” for me.
Also, in my view, liberalism (root word “liberty”), as a social attitude, is about accepting everyone as they come, and not telling people who they have to be in order to be accepted socially, as long as you aren’t maliciously giving anybody else shit in “being who you are.”
The only intolerance is of intolerance itself, to neatly say it.
My issue with Conservatives is that they SAY they want “liberty” and “freedom” and all that jazz, but they really don’t. What they want is to have the rules specially constructed, where everything they like is legal and accepted as “the way”, and then anything outside of it that they DON’T like is deemed illegal.
They don’t want liberty, they want freedom for their way of life, and authoritarianism that targets anyone outside of that, whether that’s manifested de jure or de facto.
So, to me, I view the social aspect of Conservatism (should-be objectively, in a decent world) as mostly hateful and exclusionary, towards many groups of people. Like even when they manage to get one of those hated/excluded people to come on board, it’s because they have some kind of bigotry towards one or more of the other groups that they identify with.
I’d need to have it well-explained to me why it’s ok to:
- have a problem with women and their equality and bodily autonomy
- have a problem with people of different races/ethnicities/cultures, and them just generally “being here”
- have a problem with LGBTQ+ people of any sort, deny them equal rights and respect, create a social climate where they feel “different” or that the way they are is a less desirable life-outcome than being heterosexual/cisgender, and something children are “threatened” by
- have a wildly mischaracterized view of undocumented asylum seekers, and having no consideration of their humanity, just wanting them out, in any inhumane way
- want to impose one religion upon an entire multicultural, multitheist country and society, and let it inform legislative policy and social norms
- want to teach our children a dishonestly incomplete version of the history of our country, for the sake of nationalist indoctrination, and continuing to ignore obvious socioeconomic impacts of history while refusing to make any adjustments whatever majority demographic in question you belong to stands to lose something in a zero-sum game
And that’s just some of the social stuff, we don’t even need to dive too far into the rest, like handing over the country to the billionaires who have us all in this financial squeeze in the first place because they exploited your various bigotries to convince you everything sucks because of the people you look sideways at when you see them (and of course “tHe DeMoCrAtS”) instead of the bajillionaires you DON’T look sideways at because our peasant asses will never see these guys out mingling with us in the general population.

Anyway, I’d need all those aforementioned things justified to me, without being sexist or racist or xenophobic or homophobic or transphobic, or steered by a diety not everyone believes in. Then we could maybe talk about what’s wrong with liberalism.
liberalism is another bullshit philosophy that destroys things in the name of love. it's not new. it's Islam for atheists
That explanation did not suffice…
AWESOME REPLY @WhiteSteve.
@DrPepper12 thanks, man! Once in a while I articulate what I’m trying to say adequately😂
LOL This is what always makes me sad and truly pity MAGA and it's poisonous ilk. You so rarely understand the words that you use.
The word "educate" originates from the Latin verb educare, meaning "to bring up" or "to rear". It is also connected to educere, which translates to "lead out" or "bring forth," composed of the prefix ex- (out) and ducere (to lead). This etymology reflects the concept of nurturing and developing individuals, emphasizing both physical and intellectual growth
There is a lot of teachings in college that had me believing being "woke" was good. And it was my last year i started seeing how the "educated liberal" saw the world, and i realized they really wasn't thinking or seeing things realistically, but repeating nonsense that was taught to be right.
Educated Liberal thinking is more a "my truth" life experience and not a reality life experience.
Is it ok to have liberal ways of thought?
Yes.
But there is a difference in the last 4 years as to how extreme it has gotten and out of touch with reality it has gotten, which has turned me away from it.
What's extreme?
Does extreme woke make MAGA preferable?
@DrPepper12 no i ain't a Trump support, but yes i voted for him, because the left need a wake up call, to calm they asses down.
And the big scary evil monster movement called maga that is supposed to put me back to slavery is not real.
It's nonsense like this:
Maga will enslave black people.
Maga will destroy the country.
Men can compete in sports with women. As a former female athelete that bothers me.
People can decide to change their gender and it makes it true.
15 black people shot a year by police is a bigger issue than the thousands shot in the street.
Telling us to blame our problems on white people so we don't actually focus on real problems in the black communities. Why? Because they don't really care if we solve the problem. Just as long as we vote for them. They want us to be victims so they can pretend to be our saviors.
There is little logic to any of it any more. I sat there and realized just how ridiculous all this sounds. And was like naw. I'm not gonna believe anymore.
I remember trying to argue as democrat and was like it's hard to truly fight when it doesn't make sense. But it's a lot easier to argue as a republican because logically and statistically it makes sense and plenty of data to back up the argument.
And yes as for both harris and trump platform listening to both directly speak. With 0 media influence. Trump policies seemed better for the country as a whole.
Being “liberal” is just the average of what happens when you learn to think critically, meaning you learn to analyze everything in front of you from an objective perspective, decide what’s good and what’s bad about it, and then form your solidified opinion. When you think about the role a government should serve, the role society serves in taxation, how that in turn funds infrastructure and public services such as health care, you find yourself asking a lot of questions about why your country is so different from another despite having more money than they do.
yeah no. being liberal is what happens when you're brainwashed by nerds who hate themselves and hate life, and then those nerds give out pieces of paper saying you can think critically
If you’re mad because you can’t afford college, or you picked a bad major, that sounds like a you problem
75% of collage attendance is female, that should tell you how stupid you have to be to go
Says the man who can’t spell “college” lol
you don't even know what college means. co lodge. why don't you say colodge? are you gay? with a lisp?
I’m hella queer my dude lol
the fact you can go to college and not learn that being transsexual makes you mentally ill, says it all
Oh please, transsexuality was removed from the mental illness list years ago, as was being gay, as was hysteria. My man, you need friends that don’t watch the same movies over and over again and learn to ask some questions. Maybe then you can have an original thought instead of spewing the same supposed “insults” I see on every conservative forum.
that proves my point. if colleges taught facts A LOT of things would be different
I hope you manage to get a scholarship someday
why? the careful crafted lies I hear from professors never match the individual facts that slip out of their mouths
I mean, if it was free, wouldn’t you go just to see if it was all the garbage you say it is? Prove you don’t need college to be smart?
no. I see no reason why it should be free for everyone either. this is america, nobody cares about their neighbor. most people won't even walk down the street at night. but you want random people to pay for your education.
Damn, you really hate everybody that much, huh? Well alright, I hope you find a way to soothe the hurt causing your anger
No, im simply telling you people in america dont like each other. you will NEVER convince me a white billionaire from Ohio in his heart of hearts cares one bit about a poor cuban immigrant in miami who can't afford their medical school dream
So that means that everyone can and should hate each other?
it doesn't matter what you think should be the case when it isn't
I’m asking you, my guy
yes everyone hates each other. do you have a problem with that fact
I don’t think it’s a fact, I think it’s an opinion you’re treating as a fact
yeah you believe millionaires in Idaho care about illegal immigrants in Nyc
Human decency can exist there, yeah
"human decency" sounds like something a vegan says to justify starving their body
I think this has gone on long enough. You wanna keep talking shit then DM me, I’m done otherwise.

I feel like I am repeating myself here. Liberal does not mean the left wing. It is WEEEIRD that the right wing keeps insisting on calling everyone who opposes them "Liberals". Liberals are centrists. There are Republican liberals.
Honestly, if there is someone acting like they have been brainwashed then it is you because nothing you believe in makes any logical sense.
No, liberal thinking has a long tradition of being of being the mainstream thinking of most educated people and virtuallly all institutions of higher learning in Europe and the US.
Conservative thinking is mostly associated with greed, capitalism, fascism, and racism, as well as colleges espousing very conservative religious ideologies.
If you don't agree with me you are brainwashed!
Both sides say the same thing. People could really do with some introspection
Leave your nest and see the world as it is.
I would not call it a badge, its more like a result.
