There's basically no country in the world that wouldn't take a deal that gives them a monopoly on violence. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.

That said, Israel (and most countries) would never castrate its allies as long as it depends on them, and in this specific case, Israel is completely dependent on the US, but not so much the UK. I think they'd only take that deal if they no longer needed the USA.
