It is social media and texting all the time. Nobody has face to face communication skills anymore.

Have you noticed what I'm saying too? I noticed since the early to mid 2010's and most people suck at convos one on one with strangers unless somehow politics, sports, something passionate was in the picture already. A group of 5 or more people maybe right off the bat, but two strangers sober right off the bat, most of the time no. It doesn't matter if the people used to be good at convos, people changed to awkwardness or they were already shy. If they weren't that way before and changed (or if they got worse) most of the time it is because of working too much, social media, Internet, video games.
