The USA government was always angling to get involved in WW2 because it was in their best interest as a nation. The obstacle was the public who was more inclined to isolationism or even sympathy for Germany. Fdr looked for a way to turn public opinion against Hitler and with Pearl Harbor he got it. Well they probably get around 20%, way too much but not enough to rule alone.
The problem is the missing combination of everything else to have a working government.
Bassically we have a conservative right wing party at 30% they recently worked together with the nazi party, which was the first time since hitlers reign, that a party worked together with right winged extremists. Normally we have a thing called firewall against right extremism, which means democrats don't work together with nazis. They broke that oath the first time since WW2.
AFD at 20%, which means if the CDU/CSU (the first party) does work with them again they can have the majority.

SPD a working class party and first time this election, not the second biggest or even biggest party and only at 15%.

The greens, a family oriented, environment left wing party at 14%.(strongest contender because their chancelor candidate is the second most liked candidate)

The left, a purely left wing party, at 6%.

BSW a party that split from the left since last election due to their disagreements about a few topics, but mainly Putin friendly which the left is not. It's still a left wing party but in evil. They are at 6% as well.
Last and well deserved least FDP. A free market party for the rich, that was responsible for the failure of our last government. They did that the second time already. They went from 12% to 4% which means they will probably not even partake in national politics the next few years as you need at least 5% for that.

So interestingly for a government, a chancellor needs to be voted into office. While this probably goes towards the CDU (right wing conservatives) there is a chance, that the greens chancellor is voted. This is because everyone hates the AFD, while the CDU is working together with them they try to use each other for power gain and not actually support each other except in new policies, but not in government positions. So bassically 80% hates the afd.

On the other hand the greens have only 14% but their chancellor is supported by the left, the SPD and maybe even the BSW. This could be a game changer. He can gather the most outside party support which is needed for this vote.
