There's a British woman in jail because she helped out in an American home she was visiting. Even though she was just visiting friends and not being paid they considered it a breach of her visa. We are now being warned America is interperating the rules a lot more strictly in order to meet targets.

Also the Trump Soccer tournament is starting this year in America. Yet 20% of the worlds countries are banned from visiting. I suppose that's one way if upping America's chances.

I agree with you. I am from Canada and lately have found the USA an fearful and angry country well on its way to becoming a police state. Even Canadians now are being held without reason and depending on your stay must be finger printed and let CBP know your where a bouts. This is on top of the regular crazy gun culture.
