I imagine it’s “not free” in the same way Germany handles it. Technically, you can say whatever you like alone, but you can’t openly berate or insult another person to their face as it falls too much in alignment with the same goals of racism that once overtook their nation and turned them into a genocidal center of tragedy.

If it's truthful or or fair criticism you should be allowed to say it. Too many groups escape scrutiny by pretending that accusations are offensive.

It means that Australians will be prosecuted if they say things that their government approve of. And who decides what is acceptable, the wise and benevolent social engineers in government? It's totalitarianism with a kind and caring façade. It treats citizens like sheep.

No country has absolute free speech laws. Ask Alex Jones, Rudy Giuliani or the FOX Management what they have to pay gigantic fines for and you’ll know.
Or try to yell „fire!“ in a crowded movie theater and then tell police how you were exercising your free speech.
