“Bad math”, more like bad leadership.

When you increase the tariff total from $78 billion to a total of $718 billion, you should be prepared that importers will charge higher costs for importing a good, that will lead to the corporation charging higher costs on consumers who want to buy their goods for one.
For two, you should be prepared to be met with reciprocal tariffs for causing a giant leap in tariffs since those countries around the world have political reasons to do so just as the American leader had political reasons to do so.
Three, it is impossible to believe being Anti- Free Trade somehow makes our connections with foreign leaders and their nations more strong than ever? If your friend made $6 billion in trade with you across the border then they punch you in the face, would you be more hostile or less hostile back? Let that sink in!

I’m criticizing President Trump’s tariffs and I’m criticizing how The GOP & The White House enable him to continue to make bad decisions and stand by him even when it promotes worse outcomes. 1. Musk is pushing back to. Companies are adjusting their guidance and downgrading their earnings projections and the market is realigning to lower earnings. There is no logical formula to those tariff rates especially after Vietnam and Israel offered zero tariffs across the board and Trump said no. There is no thought out end game

Of course some the billionaire boys aren't going to agree with tariffs. They're stuffing their pockets by shipping jobs overseas. They're not invested in MAGA and if these losers love China and Vietnam so much, then they can go live over there and work in their horrible sweatshops.

Trump isn't about keeping the market up, but re-doing the playing field. So he's right and maybe wrong too. He's the only one willing to play chicken with the whole world.
