Q: 60 Minutes found 75% of the migrants who were sent to El Salvador do not have criminal records. That true?

1 y75% Do not have criminal records.
Her defense is “they’re illegal aliens therefore I don’t care”. In my worldview, if something happens in the jurisdiction of The United States of America then you are given the same treatment as everyone else including due process.
Not good, imagine if Biden sent Elon Musk back to South Africa how Republicans would feel without due process. Clearly, it is wrong and everyone has a right to due process even if you don’t agree with them politically and vice versa.

@MisterWack They didn't expect due process when they illegally entered the country, why should they expect it, or be entitled to it, now?
Let's say I, as an American citizen, take a plane and try to enter another country that requires me to have a visa and I don't have one. The customs and immigration control inspector refuses to let me into the country, and forces me to board a plane back home. There's no due process.
That's what should have happened to illegals when they illegally crossed the border, but it didn't. ICE is now doing what the Biden administration should have done to start with. No reason for due process. And, by the way, it's a federal felony to illegally enter the country, even if one is seeking asylum. If asylum is granted, that crime is forgiven. - 1 y
@AviatorTom I might be wrong here or have the misstep so I’m curious if the Supreme Court of The United States Majority Opinion means they are entitled to due process, “For all the rhetoric of the dissents, today’s order and per curium confirm that the detainees subject to removal orders under the (Alien Enemies Act) are entitled to notice and an opportunity to challenge their removal. The only question is which court will resolve that challenge,”. So yes due process seems to be allowed for those of non-citizenship.
Another point which I could be missing or misinformed of is from a basic surface level, You are also entitled by the US Constitution of due process, regardless of citizenship or noncitizenship. Could be wrong, just adding this here. She's a lawless, corrupt c**t, lke all the Trump appointees.
- 1 y
@MisterWack You are correct - in the US EVERYONE is entitled to due process, citizen or not, illegal or not, criminal or not. It, along with free speech, are the cornerstone of our democracy. MAGA on here seems not to understand this, which makes m wonder where and how they were educated.

@msc545 And clearly SCOTUS agrees with the American people and those within the jurisdiction, “For all the rhetoric of the dissents, today’s order and per curium confirm that the detainees subject to removal orders under the (Alien Enemies Act) are entitled to notice and an opportunity to challenge their removal. The only question is which court will resolve that challenge,” That is the proof in the pudding from their majority opinion.

1 yWhy should illegal immigrants have any due process? They should not be here to begin with. If you went and entered China illegally, do you think they would give you due process for breaking their laws? Or any other country for that matter. What country do you know that would let people enter illegally and them not wind up under lock and key? You want these gangs from Venezuela to stay in the US when they brutally murder and rape? If the word gets out what will happen to them if they come here, then maybe they wouldn't be here. But our Buddy Biden gave them time to spread out through the US. Now Trump is trying to expel them and not have them come back.

@msc545 And the law in the US doesn't mean shit anymore either. These people seem to have more rights than a citizen. A citizen would have to hire a lawyer, yet these miscreants come here and kill people and you want them to stay and give them free legal counsel? The taxpayers are getting it up the ass every day. Why don't you champion for them instead of cruel and vicious murdering thugs that no one needs?

@NoDecision I worked as a prison doctor in California for 2 years running the crisis unit. Get yourself put in a US prison and see how kiss-ass it is, you stupid shit.
- 1 y
@msc45 Prisons are run by the prisoners. It's the leaders of the gangs that keep things running smoothly, as nearly that can be done.

@msc45 And you also seem to get pretty abusive when you are drinking. Typical.

If you entered the country illegally, I don't see how due process should apply to you.

@pacificopete Try reading the 5th Amendment instead of guessing about this.

What laws should we abide by and what laws should we let pass?
27.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Pam Bondi and Tom Homan both said that all illegal aliens are going to be deported. Just the act of crossing the border makes them criminals and subject to deportation. They are concentration on the worst first, getting rid of murderers, rapists , child molesters and drug traffickers and have gotten rid of tens of thousands already but once the effort is ramped up the goal is to deport them all.
03 Reply- 1 y
@exitseven If they are rapists or murderers, why are they deported instead of being thrown in prison. Our prisons are completely overcrowded. In some they have cots that have taken over the gymnasium or other facility because they don't have enough cells. So send them to El Salvador and let them do time there. But, they should have the ability to get out after they served their time. Maybe if these gangs knew where they would be sent if caught, they would leave on their own.
- 1 y
@NoDecision El Salvador is charging $20,000 a year to incarcerate these criminals. In the US it costs $80-100 K to incarcerate a prisoner. It would cost $50,000 a year in welfare benefits if they were just left on the street. Trump is saving taxpayer dollars in addition to ridding the country of a criminal.

Everyone in this country, whether you are here legally or not, has a right to due process. That is written in the Constitution and it should be followed, no matter what Ms Bondi thinks.11 Reply- 1 y
Yes, due process rights are guaranteed to everyone in the United States, including non-citizens. This right ensures that the government cannot deprive anyone of life, liberty, or property without following fair legal procedures.
Elaboration:
Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments:
The Fifth Amendment applies to the federal government, while the Fourteenth Amendment applies to state governments. Both guarantee due process.
Due Process Defined:
Due process includes procedural due process (fair legal procedures) and substantive due process (protection against government actions that infringe on fundamental rights).
Protection for All:
The Supreme Court has consistently held that the due process protections apply to all individuals, regardless of citizenship status or immigration status.
Fair Hearing:
Due process means having a fair hearing before the government can take away your life, liberty, or property.
Examples:
This includes things like notice of charges, the right to be heard, the right to confront witnesses, and the right to counsel, depending on the situation.
Recent Examples:
The International Rescue Committee reports that the Supreme Court has reaffirmed that the fundamental right to due process extends to everyone in America, regardless of their legal status.

So is Trump's presence a crime. He should not not have been allowed to run when he broke the 14th Amendment in the Constitution and was part of an insurrection and helped those who he incited to start an insurrection. The country is being led by a criminal. The world knows it too.
- 1 y
@Amy10223 it's been proven that there was no insurrection. trump isn't guilty.

are you trump's psychiatrist? were you not one of them supporting a dementia patient for over a year?

7.5, proven there was no insurrection? By whom? We all know what happened on that day. I saw I live on television., it was an attempted coup and insurrection led by a sore loser who cried the election was stolen. He did NOTHING about the violence in which 5 people died.
Don’t think we”re stupid. We don’t all watch Fox News. - 1 y
@Amy10223 so you know that there were liberal agitators as well as CIA and FBI operatives there to stage this coup? where have you been?
