What do you think about that?
1.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. The drone strike did not destroy 1/3rd of their air force. It destroyed 1/3rd of their bombers.
But yeah, this was inevitable. Russia has overextended and can't protect their rear forces or nation. They have been losing critical infrastructure since forever, meaning that Ukraine could have gone after Russias air force if they had wanted to. This is not really a change of what is happening in Russia as much as its a change of target priority in Ukraine. For whatever reason they decided that these planes were more valuable than an oil refinery, maybe they are right, maybe they are wrong, either way something was going to blow up on that day and what that would be is depending on what strategy Ukraine is following.

Bombers and AWACS

1 yI think NATO has done a great job of using Ukraine as a proxy to gut Russian military manpower, weapons delivery systems, ammunition, and cash. The Russian navy, air force, and ground forces have all been slaughtered under a centralized command structure and people who have no will to fight. Putin's military has been revealed as smoke and mirrors owned by a bully. They are all bluff and no fight. Completely incompetent.

Anonymous(25-29)1 yI find it odd they keep saying Trump wasn't informed before the attack. Is he usually? Why would they tell him? If they had been and didn't this time and it was by far the most successful, has Trump been tipping off Russia this whole time? Makes you wonder.

1 yZelensky WAS holding the cards, didn't fold and laid them down. That will be seen as a transformative moment in warfare like when aircraft carriers announced their supremacy at Pearl harbor. Drones? NO WHERE IS SAFE!!
01 Reply- 1 y
Cheap drones, fire and forget munitions, high end drones with hours of loiter time, Russia has not yet faced NATO air power coordinated by AWACS and F35's supporting combined arms teams on the ground. It would be a meat grinder.
27.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. These guys do not want peace. President Trump wants to end this war and neither Zelensky or Putin want to stop fighting.
012 Reply- 1 y
Oh, I dont deny that Trump wants to end the war in Ukraine. He is just really bad at negotiations and he is unable to achieve it. Did you honestly think that both sides would be happy to stop fighting if you just asked them nicely? The difficult part was always to MAKE them stop irrespective of what THEY wanted because THEY obviously wanted war. Dummy.

@Syntosi Trump had brokered a deal that would have ended the fighting and would give Ukraine US protection going forward and still let Putin save face and Zelensky had a public meltdown and sabotaged it. He like things the way they were when Biden was President. Every time he asked Biden would hand him another 20 billion dollar check.

With all due respect, I have a looooong history with @exitseven and I can tell from experience that they do not deserve it. - 1 y
Biden never gave Zelensky a 20 billion dollar check. Most of what the United States are delivering are older, written-off military hardware. Plus huge amounts of artillery, rockets and SA ammunition.

“Oh someone won’t you please think of Trump? This makes him look bad”
Biden wanted peace by giving Ukraine the ability to fight back, should’ve given them long range missiles though I didn’t whine how these makes my guy look bad. Think about Ukrainians, not about One Man. - 1 y
@DryGermanGuy Biden gave him many 20 billion dollar checks. There is a website that gives a timeline on how much money the US has sent Ukraine. I cannot find the damn thing.
usafacts.org/.../
There were a couplem of EOs that Biden signed authhorizing 20 billion dollar paymants

So, again, and as your own links show, there were no 20 billion dollar checks or payments or whatever but lots and lots of existing materiel sent to Ukraine plus restocking orders for American rocket and ammunition producer. Which ensures American jobs.
Here is a list of Joe Biden's EOs. Not a single one authorizes payments to Ukraine.

I'm also still waiting for that list of Ukrainian generals' villas in the United States. If you need to lie, at least lie more intelligently. - 1 y
@DryGermanGuy I really did see this but I could not remember where it was. I remember thinking that the fact that each payment was 20 billion maybe there was a story behind it.

Yes it does, explicitly actually. Your standard of living is directly related to the current state of world powers. Change things up, such as a major player (Russia) making a big power play and whatever they win is coming out of your wallet. Geopolitics is a zero sum game and right now you got everything to lose and they have everything to win.
- 1 y
In this case it is because USA is supported by a portion of the wealth of other nations through various means. Your comfy living is subsidized by people all around the world. So what happens if Russia grows stronger? Well, they will also want a bigger piece of that pie. So suddenly, some of the wealth that used to subsidize your living instead starts going towards Putins 57th yacht.
In other words, if Russia succeeds in Ukraine then you are going to have to downsize your living standards. - 1 y
Obviously not, but it would take away from the power that USA has. Very objectively it would be Russia taking power that it did not have before and making it their own as opposed to beforehand when Ukraine was leaning towards the EU and NATO.
This is literally Russia taking a cookie off the plate of USA and eating it themselves and you are here trying to pretend it never happened. - 1 y
Typical American exceptionalism. You take your place in the world for granted rather than something that must be maintained and built upon. For the record, this is the attitudes that people usually has right before their empire falls.
You know the whole "good times makes weak men" thing. You are the weak man. - 1 y
Oh, the US economy is cooked. If you want to talk about the stock market then the fact that it fluctuate up and down like that when literally nothing changed materially speaking is a clear sign that people are just running on emotions right now.
Personally I am on the side of Jamie Dimon as recent as today. Got to say, not normal that I am on the side of giant banks but numbers dont lie. - 1 y
