There are lots of ways to apologize, but only a few good ways. Is “I owe you an apology” any kind of apology? If so, is it a good one?

“I owe you an apology” is a perfect apology.
So, if i owe you $1000 and i say, “I owe you a thousand dollars,” the debt is paid merely by acknowledging it?
If that is what I decide.
😂😂😂
I think most people, including you, would recognize that acknowledging a debt and paying the debt are not the same by any reasonable measure.
I think it's a loophole for a bitch to get all the perks from an apology without feeling the slight sting of actually giving one.

It's some kind of apology, not perfect but still good.
It’s better than nothing but it’s really just an acknowledgment of debt. If i owe you $50,000, merely acknowledging that i owe you money does not clear the debt. If i owe you an apology, merely acknowledging that i owe you that doesn’t equate to an apology, in my opinion.
I agree, you're right about that, great example.
No, that's like saying you might get an apology when I get paid. Or maybe not.
"I'm sorry" is an apology.
I think it's fine.
Don't care because apologies are irrelevant.
@AngryCarl2 never apologizes!
