Is the favorite excuse to get defense and military fundings in the billions every year

Without an enemy there’s no reason to have that and a large part of the American economy is built around armaments

The same is true for Israel and Iran itself

These countries need each other as enemies to justify robbing their own people.

So I don’t think any side will truly break apart the status quo

When Trump says it's a 50/50 situation then for once I believe him. On one side he's a wanna be dictator and looking up to his best buddy Putin and would love to show off his military power. On the other side his Maga supporters are strictly against an involvement for the most part and Nethanyau didn't give a fuck about his negotiation plans and we all know how Trump feels about this like that.

In their present state, the U. S. rather will:

- ban Iran (from doing... what?)

- will deport Iran to, let's say, Iran

- and Republicans and Democrats will blame one another ( for what, is unclear )

The implications for all us others:

- China will laugh

- Russia will silently sack Finland or so

- Europe will roll it's eyes and raise eyebrows

- Africa will not even know what's going on

- Japan will continue doing what they already do

- Australia and New Zealand will be unaffected and also be relatively disinterested

- Israel will support the U. S. and accidentally confuse Palestine with Iran

- Elton John will come up with a new song about this

I think it is more probably that they do than they will not...

it is the perfect opportunity for the USA to set a precedent... it could do it in a more precise and quick way if they assist the efforts of others, rather than doing them by themselves or starting it

the USA is an interventionist nation, and a war-fueling nation as well.. one way or another they always get involved, and always seek benefit and profit, one way or another and... that's just the USA way, whether we agree with it or not... it is one of the best money makers for the States

Good question. I am not sure. Israel attacked to take out their nuclear facilities for their own self preservation. I'm not 100% sure why that involves us at all. Just let Israel take care of it. How does this have anything to do with us in any way?

I have read that some of the facilities are underground and Israel may not be able to get them those and we have the bunker bombs that could. I don't know for sure if we could just give them the bombs or can only our planes drop them.

I hope so but I doubt it. Trump has been saying "I'll make a decision in two weeks." with Ukraine since he took office months ago and he said the same thing about Israel. I'm hoping Iran does something stupid and force his hand but it's unlikely in my opinion which means Trump is going to chicken out as always like the little bitch he is.

This is a very sticky situation for our President. One the one hand Israel and AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) to which most American politicians instinctively bend the knee, vs Vladimir Putin who get a lot of arms from Iran. Is it any wonder he's hesitant? He's between a rock and a hard place. Frankly the longer he does nothing the better, as far as I'm concerned.

So far we have no reason to strike Iran. We are supplying Israel with intelligence in the form of targeting information and early warning of attacks. We can just let our proxy (Israel) do the fighting for us

And Iran probably does not want to give us a reason to get into the fight. They don’t need 2 superior air powers pummeling them day and night.

If this happens: We get sucked into another Middle Eastern conflict that we pour billions of dollars into, we put our service men stationed in the region at risk, raise oil prices for all, and America be known as an imperialist country not one of peace, liberal values, and negotiating force willing to compromise.

I do not think so. President Trump is giving Iran another two weeks to think about it. Iran has already lost most of it's air defense system and most of it's missile launching capabilities. Israel will continue the bombing and I think President Trump thinks that it will be over before the US has to get involved.

In 2002 Netanyahu was one of those people who lied in order to convince Congress that Saddam had WMD. His lies are also prompting tRump to consider invading Iran. Knowing how right wingers and their supporters love war in order to generate more war profits, it would not surprise me in the least if Washington DC launches another invasion.
