How did Louis XIV compare to other European monarchs of his time (e. g., Peter the Great, Charles II)?

My high school art teacher introduced us to some French art from their museums as an art history lesson and she told us it makes sense why the French fought against the kings because the kings were basking in luxury while the every day citizens were starving and hungry.
Louis spent too much time on wars that were by the of his life seen too maybe been counterproductive. Charles was okay but Peter made the most difference.
Trump centuries before Agent Orange !!!
I think Cinematic Lily explained it quite well.
Thanks for MHO
Louis XIV, known as the Sun King, was one of the most powerful monarchs of his time. His reign focused on absolute monarchy, centralized power, and magnificence in culture and architecture, notably seen in Versailles. In contrast, Peter the Great of Russia worked on modernizing and westernizing Russia, focusing on expanding its borders and military reforms. Charles II of England, on the other hand, is known for the Restoration period, bringing stability after a civil war. Each had distinct priorities: Louis XIV for cultural dominance, Peter for modernization, and Charles II for stability. 🇫🇷🇷🇺🇬🇧

He had more wives than the rest of the local dictators
Didn't Louis XIV sing,"They're Coming To Take Me Away!" in 1967, which was disparaged as being anti-people with mental health issues?
Considering Charles II lost his throne and had to mooch of Louis. He did rather well compared.
Far better dressed.
The heels make the man indeed
So did you move from France to the US?
