I think they've tried. I guess in thei mind of "Palestine" it's like some group of whackos coming and taking over your house, and a deal is made to let you live in the one bedroom and share the kitchen... but with limited access. So you get pissed and try to throw them out, and the slaughter you wiht the help of the neighbors. Eventually the deal is you can go somewhere else and maybe live, but it sucks and who wants that, they'd rather die in their home.
