While important, we have far greater issues right now than the Epstein list. The middle class, a beacon for prosperity and upward mobility, is dying. Our justice system is and has been broken. Young generations cannot afford homes. Homelessness and housing security is a great concern. Tensions are escalating between our powerful and deadly adversaries. Many are one unexpected emergency away from losing everything.

I am beginning to lose faith in Trump. It seems as if this is a different Trump than I knew during his first term. Kamalatoe would not have been any better, if not worse. I am becoming more convinced no one has the best interests of the average, everyday American.

You are both right and wrong. The behavior of a mentally ill elderly man should really not consume a whole country, yet it does - if for no other reason than the sad fact that he is running everything you mention, and making it all worse, and there is no obvious or easy way to be rid of him any time soon, which guarantees that things will become even worse.

This goes far beyond the POTUS. Federal government elections and politics have stolen attention away from state-level affairs. We are so entrenched into nationwide politics, we forget the 10th amendment of the constitution, how power mainly resides in the individual states with limited powers granted to the federal government. So many issues locally go ignored or are swept under the rug. For example, my state is one of only 10 that doesn't have more severe penalties for assaulting a firefighter or EMT. 42 percent of fire departments in this state are considered "At-Risk" or "Distressed". 79 percent more are in poor shape than considered "competitive" or "attainment" status.

Many issues can be tackled at the state or local levels, yet people are willing to check a box on a ballot just because of the (R) or (D) appended to their name without knowing anything about their candidates.

i think this is all going according to plan for them. the people wanted a republican and trump was the best the republicans could do. the democrats best choices were the current senile president, or a a politicians mistress... and they did seriously consider others over kamala.

but this is why you don't play politics. it's not a god damn game! shutting down npr and pbs is the nail in the coffin for anyone other than a two-party candidate making their name known.

I think that the Epstein files will eventually be released. Even though president Trump may lose leverage on somebody who is on the list, the tide will be too strong to deny the files to be released.

@kavakavaF A fair question, but given the nature of social media, association and/or allegations are guilt. I don't agree with that, and I think it is unfair, but that seems to be the way it is.

We unfortunately see this a lot when women make unfounded allegations of sexual misconduct against men. Try to imagine the result when a child is involved - it will not be good.

Only guilty by association, which is not legal, but is very real and punishing nonetheless. Our stupid system now works that way.

Can you imagine how many plumbers, construction workers, painters, maids, and etc, or on that flight log? Releasing that list with destroy their entire lives. And the lawyers would circle like great white sharks. Trust me, I want to know who's on the list, but now I understand it's a little bit more difficult than what I thought. Imagine that you are a painter. You are given the opportunity to make a lot of money to paint on that particular virgin island. Do you really think that the world would understand that you were just on the island for painting? Once your name is released, your life is over.

There is no amount of talking that can dig you out of that hole. You're on the island and you are now guilty.

That hypothetical you just posed describes what I think will be a major problem. Maybe try to divide it by cost (could a painter afford a 14-year-old? ), actual arrival and departure times (did girls come before or after all construction was done? ) etc. Not real great solutions bytt maybe better than nothing...
