Even if there is no physical harm, rape is very traumatic. Nevertheless, unlike victims of false allegations, rape victims are not arrested, fired from their jobs, and ostracized. Moreover, people remember the allegations and continue to ostracize, fear, and blame the victim even after proven innocent.

False allegations sexual abuse, while not as common as true allegations, do occur and can have devastating consequences for both the accuser and the accused. These false claims can stem from various motivations, including revenge, attention-seeking, or mental health issues.
