Let's ban all knives?

A man lost his life on 9/10/2015 to gunfire, a terrible loss, of course, people are screaming gun control again. A young woman was murdered by a knife-wielding unstable person, crickets for knife control. NOW we all know knife control cannot and will never happen. We need help from the law. How do we get the help we need to stop this?

The problem is that everyone wants OTHERS to give something up to create their utopian dream. When you suggest that they give up something THEY take for granted in order to save lives, “That’s different!”
No. It’s really not. Automobiles kill more people than guns do every year, year in and year out. But nobody wants to give up THEIR car to save lives. Dogs injure and kill more children in the US than guns do. Occasionally there’s talk of banning one specific breed, but never the breeds responsible for the majority of bites that require hospitalization. Because everyone wants YOU to give up your dog. Their dog is not the problem.
Then somehow, after all those mental gymnastics they can’t see the folly of expecting law abiding citizens to give up their firearms while they literally let violent offenders go free to victimize with impunity.

The problem isn't the weapon; it's in the souls of men. The real issue is that people don't understand where evil comes from. It's not the knife or the gun that's the problem. The problem is in the human soul. You can't fix this with more laws. You can only fix it by changing the souls of people, by helping them to see the truth and overcome the darkness within themselves.

Carrying any "bladed article" in UK is already banned in UK unless you have a good reason, this still doesn't stop bad people carrying though,,,
