831 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Covid sucked because it messed with my final 2 years in college
I wanted to party 24/7 instead I ended up graduating top of my class in engineering school
(Still partied when I could)
Now I would be less impacted by a new pandemic
I know how to handle it and the only risk would be getting layed off from work but it’s unlikely
But I never once bought into the fear mongering that the media was doing 5 years ago and how they wanted us to be afraid
Life is short, fleeting, frail.
We don’t get go forcefully extended by locking people up and limiting their freedom
Dying free is way better than living in shackles31 Reply- 8 mo

After such a sham I believe the American people along with all of those world wide have opened their eyes and become to see and demand they themselves and those they have placed in those areas need to be held accountable and replaced and that medicine and medical science is a complete joke along with all the drug companies and their money they use to push their drugs that are making things so much worse.

COVID was awful, I feared for my mothers life and some of the children I worked with and I'd hate having to go through that again, however I find it unlikely I'll be experiencing it any time soon and thus refuse to put my energy into that thought. Plenty of other shit happening around the world that takes my energy away.

8 moYes. Covid taught us two things, just how bad governments are at handling outbreaks and how selfish the public can be. Should something more deadly break out I've little confidence in the government's ability to handle it or the publics ability to take it seriously.

Anonymous(45 Plus)8 moNo. If you know it’s staged then you prepare for things like this ahead of time. Covid was definitely planned. It was to see if we’d comply or not. It was a test to see what worked, what didn’t n what can they change to make more people comply this time. Your next pandemic is coming in November w this so-called space ship that’s supposed to be here in November. I always make sure I have extra stuff on hand. Like food, toilet paper, a solar backup battery, a couple backpacks w essentials like a first aid kits, flashlight, batteries, etc, etc.
20 Reply5.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Covid didn't scare me and I'm not afraid of germs or infections.
What scares me is the way they are used to destroy people's lives. Masking, lockdowns, hospital "protocols", mandates and vaccines caused irreparable harm and death.53 Reply- 8 mo
trump was a mess at handling that.

8 moThe fatality rate of COVID is 0.2%. And approximately 90% of that 0.2% were elderly people with underlying health conditions. They really blew COVID outta proportion. COVID has less of a fatality rate than the flu, which has a fatality rate of 0.4% to 0.6%
Another epidemic would scare anyone depending on the type of virus or illness being spread. The higher the chance of it killing you, the higher the fear. But COVID was nothing to be afraid of. That was just fear mongering.10 Reply - 746 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
8 moYes, very much so. I'm worried that people who are more susceptible to getting it and not being able to fight it will die from it. Especially older people like my grandmother. She turns 76 in a few weeks and that's the last thing she needs is another epidemic like covid happening. My mother is also sick with cancer and I know it hit people with serious illnesses the hardest. So yes I am scared that it could happen again and hit my family hard.
10 Reply 2.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Not at all.
The reaction to it was most frightening.
Two years of life was thrown away for a flu virus with a very low fatality rate.
And people need to take responsibility for their health more. Of course, people will run into trouble if they're 250 lbs.
10 Reply1.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Covid was nothing more than a flu for most people. The shots are what harmed and killed people the most. The majority of people in the world are stupid and fall for the same bs lies over and over, just like the Y2K bs when they got many people and large companies to buy Dell computers when in reality, NOTHING HAPPENED to those that didn't go along with their bs lies.

8 moNot really. Covid had been a surprise. It found us (mentally) unprepared. Remember the U. S. running short with toilet paper (for some nonsensical reason)?
If such a panic strikes again, I'll take my advantage from it. So I rather see it to be a chance.
10 Reply 4.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. To teel the truth covid wasn't that bad around here. I shopped almost whenever I wanted. I traveled a little in my end of the country. Just had to be careful. I also had scheduled back surgery. So nothing to worry about. If it happens there isn't much we can do.
10 Reply660 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Yes it does. We are even less prepared and more divided. The lessons of the first pandemic where not learned... plus some countries leadership have no clue what they are doing when it comes to health and science.
10 Reply3.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No I wish for it. Besides not having gigs everything else was perfect, nobody bothering you and free money from gov to buy takeaways, the market was also way down making things cheaper.
10 Reply663 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No. I would know how to protect myself from others who don't protect themselves from others. That's the only issue.

8 moNo. I loved Covid. I worked the whole time but my friends didn’t and it was booze fest and lots of naughty times going on the whole time. Like careless junior high kids with booze and money and zero cares about the world or self respect.
10 Reply12.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No. Covid came about because of people not listening. Seems the world is getting ready to not listen again.

8 moI really don’t want another of it. Being isolated from everyone else was terrible, social distancing etc. it became political. People died if it Everyone said it’s here to stay, didn’t want to believe it but it’s true. Just glad the Vax’s came
10 Reply I say if the government tries again it time for everyone to stand up and time to stick together and say not this time 🙏

not to mention a bunch of people in our country are convinced vaccines don't work even though the science has been loooong settled that they do and have virtually wiped out diseases... some are coming back now though sadly...

8 moNah. Pandemics are a once a lifetime thing for most.
13 Reply- 8 mo
No they aren't, they're common and we've already had two in the 21st century (Aka 2003 SARS) and if you start to include epidemics even more. In the 19s there was 3 Pandemics within a 30-40 year timeline which plenty of people experienced.
It's very likely there will be another in 25 years. So that's for sure not a once in a lifetime and already hasn't been. - 8 mo
I forgot. Everyone is an epidemiologist now...
