You ever watch The Twilight Zone? There’s this one episode about a small cul-de-sac where everyone loses power, except some folks are randomly getting it back for reasons no one understands and they start getting paranoid, saying they caused the outage that made it so nothing electronic works, but in the end it was revealed that they had all been abducted from the earth and were being experimented on by aliens? American politics is kind of like that. But in the white house specifically, it’s more like that one Twilight Zone episode where there’s one little boy with basically the powers of God who can make horrific creations but also randomly zap people out of existence who isolated his whole town and used some kind of telekinesis to kill everyone who didn’t like him, so the remaining people are constantly praising him and thinking “only good things” so the kid who can read their minds doesn’t kill them. Because, you know, they protect the president’s ego from the massive amounts of criticism that exists for him out there.

But the aliens controling the power are controlling the elections. They wanted people like Biden or Kamala and Trump because there's nothing they could actually accomplish except splitting US apart because of their own ties and agendas. Im honestly curious about Trumps son though. I think he has potential to be a better leader. He seems more on his own terms

I call this just discussion. We're comparing our ideas through simple references... not throwing facts back and forth. I dont see how you'd be turned off from this on whatever side you're on. I stay neutral. But whatevs

Tribalism. It's no longer about assessing each policy on merit and how it affects you personally. Now it's all about owning the other side, it's about gloating, it's about trolling the other side. All I'm seeing is categorising everythimg as left or right and automatic praise or hated accordingly. It's the type of childish behaviour you'd expect in the playground and isn't going to end well.

Yeah fair feel like both "parties" are fascists cloaked in either a religion or an ideology essentially working like most religions. They've dumbed and numbed the majority to only accept twitter rants as reality. there's groups waking up to it but I dont think its fast enough.
