"Would you exchange a walk on part in a war, for a lead role in a cage?"
Why not? What do armies do all day once soldiers have learnt to march and shoot in basic training.
Seems sensible to use that available man power for emergencies and is it self good training for responding quickly. Bush fires etc. In terms of law and order, that would be good training for army peace keeping missions.
While posse is mostly seen as an American thing it is not a US only thing. Used elsewhere also. It is a form of a Hue and Cry which go back to 1200.
Hue and Cry's are really good fun by the way. I started one a few years and every body had a smile on their face except the druggie girl who snatched my stuff.
So let's bring Hue and Cry's back too.
In some areas yes, if it brought about more safety and order.
Might be necessary until the judges are "fixed" so they stop releasing without correction the criminals, as too many of them do crime after crime until there's an innocent dead.
I noticed France did the same, heavily armed military were walking through cities.
Here's another case of a criminal with a long list, murdering someone. Did not see this covered well on left media sources, probably because of the normal reasons we should all know by now. Can you imagine this young girl visiting friends, encountering this thug criminal and being shot in the chest, left to die? Such crimes happen too often... letting people out so many times when the history is there to take action or leave in jail, is an issue left politicians should speak up about. Note SC is red state but large part of the town is liberal/left. Either way, it's a problem that should be addressed regardless...

No. Absolutely not. Kids walking to school do not need to be walking passed a group of soldiers armed to the teeth.
And didn't the Secretary of Defense just try to recreate the movie Patton yesterday, and tell all of the U. S. military generals that the soldiers need to be more "lethal" and ready for a fight?
But then we want to put them into a role of policing their own citizens?
Which is it? Policing Americans or being deadly and lethal?
Cities are warzones right now. Its safer to be in the us military during war time than to be a citizen in a democrat run city.

Having more police does not equate to posse commitatus. The alternative is in some democrat cities is to hire private security. Most inner city residents do not have the resources or that. I did the next best thing, to arm myself but I still do not feel safe sometimes even though I am armed. So many things can go wrong.
@goaded It has just been discovered that over 250 FBI agents were outside the Capitol. this was after Christopher Wray testified under oath that there were no FBI agents on site.
Many of these agents have come forward and said that they were used as pawns.
This is still being investigated but it may come out that the riots on Jan6th were caused by the democrats.
Utter bullshit. FBI agents were sent to aid in policing the riot. There were no "FBI agents who infiltrated the crowd at the capitol on Jan 6th to incite a riot", like you claimed.
"Current FBI Director Kash Patel said the agents were sent to the US Capitol for 'crowd control' after it had been declared a riot" www.foxnews.com/.../fbis-patel-clarifies-role-hundreds-agents-jan-6-says-wray-lied-congress
"The alleged FBI documents to which Trump is referring state on page 46 that 274 agents from the FBI’s Washington Field Office “responded to” to the U. S. Capitol and other nearby locations on Jan. 6. They do not contain any credible evidence to suggest that federal agents were acting as agitators or insurrectionists."

@exitseven what's the difference between "cleaning house" and "defunding police"
Getting rid of the bad apples is a good thing. They will be replaced by new agents that want to make the FBI a primo law enforcement agency again. The remaining agents are optimistic because they now work for an serious ;law enforcement agency and not the democrat SS.
When the police are defunded they are demoralized and realize that they are not valued by the administration. They all just start counting down until they can retire.
You're such a dope, Exit. P-2025 IS the deep state, and Trump is their puppet. Patel is as dumb and Hegseth. They may even share the same singular brain cell.
LMFAO That you actually BELIEVE this is a testament to your ignorance. Instead of asking
1) "WHY did he take them in first place? They were not his to take.
2) WHY did he refuse to give them back when required to?
3) WHY did he LIE and say he didn't know he had them?
4) WHY did he instruct his ATTORNEY to lie and say the same thing?
and I love this one...
5) WHY the FUCK did he go to COURT and try to KEEP them?
Why do you NEVER address these issues, which are FACTS, and just bring up childish bullshit like 'the FBI set up a photo shoot"? What's wrong with you, Exit?
not where i live. you can go play with your posse over there if ya want.
i'm as in the middle as you get. i wish everyone was here with me.
i needed a laugh. thank you
Once the criminals learn where the patrols are, they'll just commit crimes elsewhere, so what's the point?
No, those guys aren't affected by it. I meant the street criminals. You know, the two guys committing all the crimes in DC. LOL
haha...:) You know how much I love them! LOL
I’d prefer we go back to a time when neighborhoods would police themselves. When men knew what was right and didn’t act like cowards.
I type coward and you show up.
See this is where I do what I want and you have to cope.
ok coward
Yes, 100%.
Nope, it just means lower crime rates.
It is only less safe for criminals.
