The thing about reparations is that everyone in the world would end up owing reparations to everyone else in the world.

So let me get this straight. My grand parents, great grand parents, and great great grand parents were working on a farm. They did their job on the farm, and probably had little knowledge of what went on more than a day's walk away.

But on the other side of the world, someone who just happened to be the same color, owned some slaves. So I have to pay reparations? Because of the color of my great great great grandparents on the other side of the world? How does that make any damn sense?

Sins of thy father is a thing of the past in most parts of the world. But we aren't even talking about sins of they father. We are taking about sins of someone completely unrelated, who just happened to be the same color as me.

No, reparations won't do shit. It won't stop the racism in people's hearts, it won't help feed or educate the poor with the truth about the USA. Giving poor black families a bit of money won't help them in the long run, or even the mid run. It's not the answer. Hell, it isn't the question, and it isn't even what the majority of them want.
