Pronouns, many people are concerned about pronouns and their "proper" use. Centuries of proper English usage don't matter. People, well some people, now define what pronouns people must use when referring to them. Use the wrong pronoun and you inflict their wrath upon yourself.

Only narcissists dictate the use of pronouns. People with genuine gender dysphoria or gender identity disorder or intersex condition will ask politely to acknowledge that they are the other gender. Notice how I said "the other", implying there's 2. I understand that it's difficult for people to understand that someone being neither fully 1 or 2 still aren't a new third thing. it's just a mixture of markers for 1 or 2 that make it hard to decide which one is more prevalent. And that is so incredibly rare, that i would say the vast majority of people who argue there are more than 2 don't even have these issues so they can't even relate but they feel like their behavior is what virtue looks like.

Incredibly rare is right. 30 years of dissecting human bodies and abortuses, Ambiguous genitalia was more common in those that did not survive. Those that did survive with ambiguous genitals about 2 in 2000. Have know intersex folks and they don't make an issue out of it. The world needs to lighten up.

@AMS700CX4u2 exactly. i already know that cause i am in social science and the metrics on that speak a very clear language from that perspective but thanks for showing your professional insight. it does intuitively make sense that many of these intersex persons unfortunately don't get to live cause likely there's other functionally vital parts wrong with their bodies so that's a tragedy. tho i feel like the "facts" matter very little in this discusion.

there's simply a huge wave of people that lack purpose or need attention and are hoping to be virtuous by taking offense and being defensive for people they percieve as weaker than them.

it's a pathologic display of empathy. it's a fight they choose cause they can win that fight with idiotic truisms. and the profiteer of that victory is litterally nobody but their own ego.

i would say that it actually harms the few intersex and transgender people they're trying to protect cause all these narcissistic free riders riding that wave are making everyone feed up with that sort of people.

It's annoying that it's gotten to the point that nearly everyone publishes their pronouns even when they're the widely accepted norm. On business communications, it serves to sexualize every email. To me, that seems inappropriate.
