The Obama/Biden years taught us that a former president can maintain a remarkable influence over the presidency if he stacks the deck effectively enough. Drumpf has definitely done that. Let Vance or another candidate take the seat and just be around to inspire.

OK an actual Canadian here. Trump is despised in the great white north. There is almost zero desire to ever be part of the USA. Zero Provinces have any significant population that wants to join the USA. Yes even redneck Alberta. Increasingly Canadians are viewing the USA as an enemy. Fact matter.
