James Cameron is a well-known fan of "Colossus: The Forbin Project".

In fact, Eric Braeden, the actor who played Forbin was in Cameron's "Titanic" as real-life millionaire John Jacob Astor IV. On the set, Cameron approached Braeden and said "Never!" Braeden was confused so Cameron had to remind him... "Never!", said by Braeden as Forbin is the last word of dialog in "Colossus".

Considering computer errors have almost set off nuclear between the US and the Ussr on more than one occasion due to computers relaying false ICBM launches, absolutely not, never mind giving AI the ability to LAUNCH nukes on its own. Anyone who thinks that's a good idea needs to have their head examined.
