All laws are governed by death and yet we keep making more. Initially most would think I'm crazy for making a statement like this but hear me out. If I refuse or am unable to pay a fine or attend court what happens? I get arrested. But if I resist they will increase the lethality of the force till I'm dead or I'm behind bars. It doesn't matter if it's a parking ticket or if you are using your burn barrel without a burn permit on your private property. These are victimless crimes that people get locked away for or are even killed if they don't submit to the government. Ruby Ridge.

There is nothing particularly crazy or wrong with your logic.

The statement is of course provocative but the logic that a law needs to be backed by lethal, or so near it makes no practical difference, force is pretty simple.

Of course this all goes out the window when we leave the absolutes for the relative. If my parents made a rule to be home at X it does not require lethal enforcement. They would not be willing and most kids somewhat behave anyway.

But sure, as a theoretical argument of principle any law needs to have a do or die level gravity or it can somehow be opposed.

Dealing drugs that result in death shouldn't be punishable by death unless they poisoned the drugs to make them lethal on purpose. Then it's the fault of the people taking the drugs that they die, not the seller. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

How is it enslaving our children? Take accountability and raise your kids right, how hard is that

I rasied my kids right and they are all college graduates living on their own. However I knew guys who were just as involved with their kids as I was and their kids got into drugs. One guy I knew had to move to an over 55 community because when his son lived with him, all the valuables in the house would go missing.

That's out of his hands. As long as he did everything he could to ensure the child knew right from wrong before he turned 18 or moved out everything that kid did was not the parents fault
