The USA has a nonimmigrant replacement rate of about 1.6.

Should we pass federal legislation permitting polygamy and exemption from some federal income tax for earners starting at $200k in current dollars tied to the consumer price index? Taxability would be tied to the number of dependants under 21 reported and income levels increasing based on more dependants. For example, $150k 2 children. S225k 3 children. 300k 4 children. These families would receive no government payments. It would provide an incentive for upper middle class families to have more children.

I know the idea is deeply immoral, but this country needs to survive. And we may have to change our way of looking at things.

Legislation won't help. If we want to encourage people to have children, we need to make it easier. Free medical care for mothers and children. Free day care and preschool. Free breakfast and lunch at public schools. School supplies provided by the school, instead of sending home a $100 shopping list. Then we need to do something about the housing shortage. People aren't forming families because they can't afford to move out of their parent's house.

We SHOULD experiment with different civil unions / marriages types other than monogamy using tax policies as a incentive & legal grounding but not to just reproduce.

Its a non issue. But if you want people to have more kids the simple solution is to make it realistically affordable. Im 28 and sure i wouldn't be suffering in poverty if I had a kid right now but I'd rather wait till im more financially stable so I can provide more opportunities for my children.

I definitely approve of any tax cuts. In any form. For any reason. But they will not be enough to boost the replacement rate until we also revert every single feminist law in existence.

People who are concerned about the replacement rate should have thought about that before getting the covid jab that caused miscarriages, birth defects and sterility. The purpose of the jabs was eugenics - reducing the population.

Incentivizing (subsidizing) may work short term. Ultimately, religion is the only way to do it. Defunding Planned Parenthood was a giant step forward. More men need to step up and keep everyone accountable, women included, and make sure everyone is doing their jobs.

I have no issue with anything you just said. But one thing is to consider what would happen to many of the children who are not aborted but are required to stay in the hell holes they were born into. That in no way justifies abortion, however. Were brought into the world, Some combination of religion and government would have to step in and take care of them.

I don't think that's necessary at all. If you look at nations like Haiti, Philippines and many African nations, typically the most poor nations exceed the replacement rate by a lot. There are no subsidies for the poor in these nations and yet their population increases.

I'm not saying the children of these nations are well cared for, just that incentivizing birthrates doesn't corelate with increased birthrates.

It is the Republicans that are trying to fix this., deporting illegal aliens, getting illegal off welfare and increasing the child deduction for kids as wall as giving other tax incentives. Each American citizen gets a $1000 savings account. The thing that will help the most is increaing the wages of Working Americans.
Real wages have finally climbed faster than the rate of inflation and shold improve further in 2026.
