I am Independent , but the best for US Is split Governent. With Democrats and Republicans with partial control of House , Senate , and presidency.

Split , Republicans controlling a branch and Democrats controlling a Branch

When our founding fathers set up the two party system the intent was ( i believe) to have the widest cross section of our people so a compromise of sorts could be reached that wasn't favoring the rich, or the poor , or anything in between. It was expected that the elected officials we chose would work together for All its citizens. We need to march on our seats of power , look the current regime in the eyes and remind them whom they work for. We should have term limits , donation limits, one bill, one subject, needs to become law instead of the current buy a vote by tacking on a bazillion separate things to be funded. That' should prevent a 100000 dollars of infrastructure repairs Washington ( for example) state needs to keep its citizens safe. from suddenly costing 50, 000.000.0.0 because the original bill couldn't get needed votes without funding a salmon farm in Michigan, a new Capitol building in Alaska and a ridiculously unimportant giant ball room or a "no strings " gift of a 747 as the new airforce ones. For another 2 years before its getting parked at the Trump wonderful world of string presidential club house and book depository.
Further more , i can not believe we haven't ( and if im wrong i apologise) why haven't we closed the loop hole allowing a felony to hold the highest office in the land. When his co defendants can't vote. I can only believe that Jefferson, Washington, Hancock and all the rest didn't feel it was neccessary to spell out the obvious.
I dont know about you , my fellow Americans, but im tired of voting for hopefully the lesser of two evils i haven't a clue as to how to get it done but we need real contenders with integrity, and people who want to be of service to all Americans not just their political party.
I suppose its somewhat inevitable but its an honor to serve as an elected official of these United States. Being Elected to an office means , or should mean, enough of your countryman listened to your Ideals. And made an"X" on a ballot next to your name because they like what you promise them. We need to pay more attention to the platforms and not only in regards to what they hope to accomplish, but the means they planned to use getting there.. thank you for taking the time to read this. Of your options the split one, however the best would be once elected you forget party lines and everyone works together for best possible country and the mother fucking religious freaks keep religion in their home and not in our government.

Democrats are quite capable of stopping themselves from going too far. They were one (Independent) vote short of a public option in the ACA.
