Does "society" exist outside of the human mind?

I mean, I can definitely conceive of society in my mind. But does "society" exist outside of my mind? Like can I go touch it in the world we actually experience, the world outside of our minds?

Good question there, I mean society is a sort of mental anchor we have to remind of what's appropriate, the rues, expectations, goals for most humans, it's biologically and socially engineered in us to survive without it we'd probably betray each other and do what we could for our survival alone or for those who immediately benefit us in some way whenever it helps them or not. Other than that it's a label for a conceptual thing like with faith, gravity, psychology so on. So what we call society, a sentient alien visiting earth might just see as a collection of organisms that think and collaborate for their own collective survival, so it would exist in a logical and physical sense but the mental grounding within the group would be labelled something else by these aliens.

I guess it'd have to be in things like physical matter if we dig deep, our senses let us perceive of it but it's there regardless unless you believe the simulation theory of consciousness.

Society is an intangible concept shared by a group of people. Tangible things are evidence of a society but they are not the society itself. Thigs like written language, roads and bridges, buildings, laws, weapons, clothing, etc.

We all have the same basic physical needs like food and shelter, we all reproduce in the same manner, We all die. These are all human realities. Society is formed to support these realities. Currency, marriage, religion, and funerals are all societal constructs that deal with these realities.

I agree that all humans have needs. But where is society formed? I think "society" is just a concept that only exists in our minds. All we can do is think about it and imagine it in our minds.
