My mind is shut down because of guilt what should I do?

Well the opposite of guilt is acceptance. The feeling of guilt to me is like I knew I should/could do better. Accept that. That normally unlocks my mind.

Now its still not done yet, there was a purpose of the guilt. Know that. Don't hold onto the guilt, hold on to the knowledge next time you will do better!

Thats the real trick to change should/could into would.

The purpose of negative emotions like fear guilt and anger. We have to use those emotions to our advantage or like you said your mind will lock up on you.

Turn your life over to Jesus Christ, Romans 10:9

Write down where this guilt comes from. Write down what the truth is, so that you can heal from these wounds and lies.

Let God in to heal those wounds.

Practice what is good... hope, faith, love. Do one positive thing.

I have guilt as well, I can relate. Your wounds will become strength in time.
