Yes every year. We discuss the important changes he made for the nation.
sadly… there aren’t any social events such as those who has the day off to attend church and church should discuss his contributions… etc….

we just get a day off…. I am glad to have but it doesn’t have much meaning.

“Celebrate” isn’t exactly accurate, but i do spend some time honoring the magnanimous Dr. King. I usually read or watch his arguably most famous speech in which he utters those immortal words “I have a dream…”. Sometimes i watch a dramatization of historical events marked by the conflict between the privileged and the disenfranchised. “Detroit” hits closest to home more often than not.

I like MLK. Who knew that judging people by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin would be considered racist as it seems to be now. Blacks like George Floyd and many others were pieces of trash who now have statues made for them.

Ideally people would watch videos of what others went through to get their freedom.

i agreed with much of his goals but today a legal holiday is just another day government workers get another day off 95% of others pay for or don't get the service needed goes for all but the traditional 7
