Since both days are federal holidays , federal government workers get screwed out of a paid day off but I think MLK would be happy to see an administration that will judge people not by the color of their skin but the content of their character.

I mean, MAGA’s whole deal, whether said out loud or not, is about “Rights For Whites.” Yes, if you’re an obedient person of color who aspires to “white acceptance” and getting down with the Conservative program, they’ll welcome you with open arms to parade around like “SEE? We’re a big tent party!” You know “one of the smart ones” like Byron Donald, as Trump says.
But all MAGA has run on is FEWER rights for most people (and “sending it back to the states” is just enabling restrictions, they know damn well that many states will impose harsh laws or undo protective ones. They broadly say they endorse “freedom”, but they don’t want freedom. They want authoritarianism, but a specially-constructed kind that allows them to do what THEY want, but targets and persecutes people who they don’t like and view differently. They want to have any gun available but want to pick and choose who can and can’t get married or other dumb shit along those lines. Because of “the children”, lmfao. Absolute fuckin’ frauds, but they’ve realized they have an easy mark in the average everyday American, who I’m sad to report has shown himself to be an absolute moron who doesn’t know what good for himself or his fellow countrymen.
I’m sure MLK would just LOVE the party that points at every Black person with a decent job and yells “DEI hire!” Sounds right up his alley.

MAGA means "Make America Great Again" President Trump is going to make America great for all Americans. During his last term wages rose at record rates across all demographic, not just white people. He wants to cut taxes for middle and lower class groups. No taxes on tips, no taxes on social security and no taxes on overtime pay are all policies that will help the working class. He does not care what race a person is.
President Trump knows that when people have opportunities and are not dependent on the government they are happier and healthier and the government collects taxes from people instead of sending them a welfare check every month.

MLK Jr. is a complex man and I don’t believe in a notion of agreement or disagreement using ghosts, I let them rest in peace.
Though I will stand by him seeing Barack Obama being President would’ve made him the proudest he’d ever been (aside from being invited to the LBJ White House to pass the civil rights bills and put them into law). Yes MLK Jr. was a Republican when he was alive, though he didn’t mind reaching across the aisle when his people needed him.
During the BLM Protests, I invoked the LBJ meeting with MLK Jr. to halt civil unrest happening at the time and give people who were suppressed the rights that every man & woman deserves! I critiqued Trump Administration not doing the same and in fact doubling down with tear gassing peaceful protestors (I’ve said this before, daytime protests were peaceful while nighttime riots were taking advantage of the true values of those that joined the movement, even Jake Paul did it that bastard!) It is paramount that we look at all aspects here, lets not play MLK Jr. would be on my side or he’d be on my side, maybe he just wouldn’t pick a side or have a reason that none of us are willing to hear since we all are blinded by political lines.
MLK Jr., we the American people miss you. Rest In Power! ✊🏿✊🏻✊🏾✊🏼✊🏽🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

At the risk of insulting Dr. King's life work, who taught you to dream about Social Democratic, anti-imperialism Dr. King's being a Republican, MisterWack?

@beefcakebradybatson Okay so, apparently I got that wrong. So MLK Senior endorsed Richard Nixon for President in 1960 after being a life long Republican though changed to endorse John F. Kennedy which MLK Jr. went to become a popular Civil Rights Leader. So I most likely learned it in school and f*cked up, that one is on me sorry.
IF GAG creates a draft & edit mode please remind me to correct this mistake I make a formal apology.
I believe that MLK was a bigger man than that!! He wouldn't stop so low as to be unhappy something like that.

Dr. King will barf down from Heaven realizing that a crypto-Fascist dictator wannabe will be inaugurated on the holiday his adherents worked their butt off to get a recalcitrant Pres. Ronnie Ray-Guns to recognize.(Dr. King, in the book " The Radical King," which I read in 2021, spoke in 1966, two years before his assassination, of the twenty-six pre- U. S. Empire civilizations which had cataclysmic socio-economic differences between the very richest citizens and everyone else ala 2024 America. Dr. King said that EVERY SINGLE ONE imploded internally, as Trump's re-election will herald America's disassembling, likely before 2040.)

I still remember when a Time White House news (insert laugh) correspondent intentionally lied and said Trump removed MLK's bust from the oval office. The fake outrage from the left was laughable and the lies haven't stopped.
20 Reply No, I think that Dr. King would be smart enough to know that Trump is an awful racist and would be quite unhappy with the fact that he's getting inaugurated. Nothing that you say about him will change the reality.

Donald Trump is as much a racist as Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
- 1 mo
@exitseven My point is, that racism is as subjective as "rate my looks from 1 to 10". Nothing Biden said or did was considered racist, even though his own VP basically said he's a racist during the 2020 debates! Then she joined his ticket. When it comes to Trump, they literally manufacture it! "White supremacists are fine people". Lying about him removing MLK's bust from the oval office, Omorosa saying she has him on tape using racial slurs (which is funny, because that's the only time the media wasn't racist towards her! Lol)... Then they would actually go after his supporters, knowingly lying! Nicholas Sandman, Kyle Rittenhouse. Then came the lies that the media had no problem perpetuating, Bubba Wallace, and let's not forget, Jesse Smollett! It's sickening but I am glad that the majority of American's see through it. Even on this site, two days after the election, people were giving a bunch of BULLSHIT stories about how they're already experiencing the NEW racist America under Trump! They're suddenly hearing people throwing the "N" word around and they're taking obviously fake pictures of graffiti... Just stop!

Exactly! Pretending minorities are either too stupid or too lazy to get a FREE voter ID is the definition of racism! Thinking you'll get the "black" vote by defunding the police in their neighborhoods, even though the VAST majority of them were against it, is racist! It's the left's claim to fame! "We know what's best for you". The left actually thinks they're all criminals that will vote "democrat" because there is less policing in their neighborhood! Like I said, it all came to a head this election and was rejected!

Mlk' would protest kamala saying "electing me puts a non white non male" as president because it separated based on color.
Like they said in film wicked 2024, about green girl "i don't see color".

Absolutely Trump and MLK were friends. Biden in the other hand opposed desegregation and was friends with high ranked kkk members

Of course he would be. He'd have been a republican for decades now.

I don't know. His turn towards involvement with labor unions in the last years would likely have put him in the Democratic machine
