Nope I don't think people care like that

People have a very hard time understanding success meaning something fifferent from what they expect. As I've gotten older I've been forced to dress better, I can't walk around looking like a bum anymore as easily as I used to.
If I do, people think my money comes from somewhere else 😂 they get angry that I've managed to find success because it's so different from how they believe the world works, it pisses them off and ruins their worldview.
One thing you can't change is we're all actors trying to make the best move in our own self interest by manipulating the recognitions others hold. Once you can see that you'll find yourself playing a totally different game and life becomes fun in ways that would seem delusional to people who aren't conscious players in the acting game of status.
To the extent that it reflects what you have accomplished this far with your life, it is not an unreasonable yardstick to be used.

Society might, but I’ve seen the opposite. Someone valued me when I was helping out at a homeless shelter, and thanked me for cooking their meal. I didn’t have a flashy car, or money to show, or was dressed nice. Just the act of helping others was enough to show value enough to this person and receive their respect.
only insecure and superficial people give a fuck about that...
The more materialistic a specific society, the truer this is.
Some times and in some instances, yes. Start with the World Economic Forum.
