Going to another country is so much more expensive now, because the dollar won't get you very far. My dad said weak dollar is only good for people who own stocks, but not for regular people. So why is Trump making false claims about the economy being good?

A strong dollar means that goods made somewhere else are more affordable. A weak dollar means that domestic goods are more affordable.

To put it another way, a strong dollar means more foreign jobs and a weak dollar means more domestic jobs.

That's a problem when it comes to other countries competing with them. That's why they have the second largest economy in the world. This has been an issue for years.

Lower value to who? And by what metric? This is the part about how money works that trips up most people.

If people are willing to pay the tarrifs then that's more dollars circulating in our local economy and less dollars leaving the local economy.

This is similar to bitcoin going up in value as more people became willing to trade it because as the trading volume increases, so does the DEPENDENCY on the currency.

So what trump has done is increase the DEPENDENCY on the American dollar. This is taking place through increased exports, increased foreign investment and our efforts in Venezuela.

Now think about this, if you print money what happens? The value of the dollar goes down because of supply and demand.

But trump brought in over a trillion dollars of investment. That's money being introduced to local circulation. So if you take exports and foreign investments and tarrifs and devise divide it by the national debt you get just about 10% does that sound to you like an honest representationnof how the economybis doing or foes it sound like clever math?
