The story goes, they were transitioned at 16 by encouragement from their parents and therapists.

For those saying blame the parents... Sorry but while I do agree, transitioning minors shouldn't be legal EVER. so yes the doctors need to pay too.

When I say the adults around them... that expecially includes any psychologist, therapist, or doctor. The parent, usually a liberal mommy that has either hen pecked that guy into keeping his mouth shut or divorce raped him, could've been stopped in her tracks to seek attention. Yes they go full retard to seek approval, but also yes that those authority figures made it clear what is approval quality or not. Why would they sue the Drs. when it was THEIR decision to transition? The Drs. were only doing what they were paid to do!!
Otherwise, I agree! I don't know how it is in the rest of the country but, here, you HAVE to be at least 18 to be able to get a sex change AND you have to go through a few years of "therapy" whereby the therapist alone can give the permission to have the sex change!! If the therapist doesn't think it's right for you, you will NOT get your letter saying that you're cleared for getting the operation!!

Does not sound fair to me at first glance. If their parents encouraged them, they should sue their parents. And who knows what they said to their therapists back then. And then they sue them. This is one thing I find disgusting about American culture.
