8000 closing now and online sales not good with Amazon laying off over 100,000 . Only an insane person thinks it is getting better with Trump.

One person cannot make an economy fail anymore than one persons can fix the economy , things change all the time and has nothing to do with leadership, it’s big corporate companies getting greedy and overextending themselves then realizing the market isn’t there and start laying off people. UPS and DHL are also laying off people now mostly because of the huge salaries they were giving them that the company can’t make up for. Amazon isn’t going anywhere and I’m not exactly sure which people they’re laying off because I know someone that works there and they’re fine. I think a lot of the prom is AI taking over certain jobs

Give tRump a chance. Just wait til tariffs kick in completely and millions of manufacturing jobs are created overnight. Wait til none of our former trading partners are buying any of the shit we produce. Trump's gonna show em all who's boss. Wait til AI kicks in. tRump has an economic plan he's gonna unveil in 2 weeks. Like his healthcare plan... 2 weeks. This whole global sell off of US treasury bonds? No worries about the national debt spiking to record levels. Just keep hating all teh brown people and take stuff away from welfare queens. We're gonna be great again.

yes but it's not just because of economics Online shopping has become the new norm and when you got most people shopping online it doesn't make sense for the CEO's to keep the physical stores open.

retail is dead. The market has undergone a metamorphosis and everyone buys everything they need online. I recycle cardboard at the dump. 20 years ago there were two dumpsters, One for cardboard and the other for newspapers. Now newspapers are dead and everyone gets stuff delivered in boxes right to their door.

Now both dumpsters are used for cardboard.

The truth is consumer confidence is high and this past Christmas broke all records, a sign of a healthy economy

Retail sales has been a tough market for a long time. The margins are small and nobody can compete with big box stores. I don't know why anyone would open up a retail store or a restaurant. There's no money in either one.

Brick and mortar stores have been closing I large numbers for decades. The Internet and online shopping is the way many people today shop. Store closings by themselves is not a fair economic indicator.
