Personally, because I fall into that category (I am married to another woman), I'm obviously for LGBT and obtaining equal protections under the law. So which take do you stand with?

I have zero problem with LGB, aside from the fact that some types of gay men are creepy af. I even marched in solidarity and voted for gay marriage.

LGB gained equal rights and general acceptance. Tacking on T and then QIA+++ was a clever scam. Not even most LGBs want to be associated with that other stuff.

I'm done with the trans thing. I don't even think there is such a thing. It's a mental illness; a psychosis; a delusion.
I was okay with it until trans-women started pushing to be recognized as actual women.
Trans started throwing fits over "preferred" pronouns and trying to enforce gender-neutral language and especially eliminating references to women and mothers with absurd terms like "pregnant person" and "birthing person".
They claim that men can get pregnant and breast feed.
Dudes started invading women's athletics, women's only gyms, locker rooms and bathrooms.
They started encouraging impressionable school children to question their birth genders, having drag queen clown story hour, offering "gender-affirming" care, bypassing parents rights, giving children puberty blockers, and giving young girls top surgery,
Children are being disfigured and sterilized.
I decided that the trans movement was an enemy.
It's a war against women and children. It's a psy-op that accomplishes eugenics and pushes the trans-humanist agenda.

LGB is just a sexual preference. They are still men and women. But "identifying" as the opposite sex or some other gender or anything else does not make it reality. In reality, transgenders have no idea what it's like to be the opposite sex. All they can do is mimic appearance and behaviors. Growing their hair long, wearing dresses and make up, taking hormones and getting fake boobs does not make a man a woman.

I want trans to be made extremely unpopular so that people will no longer want to be trans.
People under age 21 who think they are trans should be denied medical transitioning and prescribed genuine psychological treatment.

I will add that I was friends with two trans people. One was a trans woman and one was a trans man. They both transitioned in adulthood. They were both good people. They didn't advertise that they were trans. They were not LGBT activists.
I could tell that the trans-woman was a guy but I respected him and treated him like a woman.
Aside from being short, I never caught on that the trans-man was a woman until somebody mentioned it. But that didn't effect my opinion of her. She was a great sound stage engineer and an amazing cello player who played acoustic cello but also electric cello with effects. One time, I sang Stand By Me for an audience and she played the string part on an acoustic cello fantastically. We used to have good conversations and I liked her a lot. I treated her like one of the guys.

So I don't hate trans people. And if they still want to transition as adults, It's up to them. I'm okay with it.
I just hate militant trans, oppose the trans agenda, and want to discourage young people from being lured by the social acceptance.

People who are LGBT are about 10-20% of the population. They are born this way. There is no being for or against this any more than you are for or against blue eyes. This is a natural biological occurrence, and there is not a damn thing you can do about it.

I believe homosexual people are born homosexual.

I’m not convinced about transgender people being born that way. I have heard stories about how some people who were born male only started identifying as female after they were convicted of committing a crime. I don’t believe all trans women are this way but I definitely do believe some of them have autogynephilia and not genuine gender dysphoria.

I’m not also convinced trans people are born with an brain that doesn’t match their body. Also I have heard a lot of trans people say they have brains that don’t match their body. I’m just curious why aren’t brain scans used to diagnose gender dysphoria then.

Since brain scans aren’t used to diagnose gender dysphoria in transgender people that makes me believe the science or evidence isn’t very strong about transgender people having a brain that doesn’t match their body.

There are many other illnesses that are diagnosed with a brain scans such as epilepsy, strokes, tumors, dementia, alzheimer’s, imflammtion in the brain, skull fractures, bleeding in the brain, cysts in the brain, swelling in the brain and multiple sclerosis for example.

It largely depends on the TYPE of LGBT they are. I have no issue with any of them, whatever floats your boat, as long as they don't make it some kind of life or death mission to shove it down everyone else's throats or become militant about it! I really don't care what part of the spectrum you're on! I know quite a few gay and trans people and we all get along just great! It's the same as if someone is a member of a certain religion. Go right ahead and be what you want to be but DON'T try to get me to become what you are! You let me be me and I'll let you be you and we SHOULD get along quite well together! If you're a girl and you wanna wear cowboy outfits and have people call you, "Butch" or "Tex", or a tuxedo and top hat and have people call you Fred, fine with me! I accept that! If you're a guy that likes wearing dresses, pantyhose and fake tits, or even taking things to make your tits grow, or even getting implants, that's perfectly fine with me!
I may not subscribe to your way of life but, I'll support your right to do it!!
What I DON'T like is you being whatever you are and forcing everyone else to bend to your rules and whims just because it's what YOU want.
Here's kind of a backhanded example.
Back in the `90's, a friend of my fiance's took us to a local wave pool. We'd never been to one before. My fiance was from India. While we were there lounging around on the "beach" with a few dozen other people, some guy in his late teens or 20's decided to strip naked and stand up in front of everyone there. A pair of cops quickly swooped in and kept trying to cover him up with a towel and he kept avoiding it.
Personally, I had no issue with him being naked in public and my fiance couldn't understand why they would FORCE HIM to cover up! In her country, being naked in font of others is normal, at least in a public pool kind of setting.
The point is, he wasn't trying to make everyone else go naked, too! He was just expressing his "belief", as it were, on what the law SHOULD say about public nudity. Now, had he suddenly started ranting about how everyone else should strip down and was even forcing others to join him, I wouldn't be thrilled with that. He's right in that, we SHOULD be allowed to go naked if we want to but, it's OUR choice to do so, NOT HIS!!
My parents used to be good friends with this couple that eventually became Jehovah's witnesses. Every time they came to visit us, they'd start preaching their religion and trying to get us to convert! My parents would tell them, we're not interested but they'd keep insisting!! Before leaving, they'd try to give us the latest issue of Watchtower. We'd refuse it! They'd tell us that it's good reading and they'd just leave it on the table for us to read later. We'd tell them we don't want it and, if they DID leave it here, it was going into the garbage as soon as they left! They'd go, leaving their mag behind and we'd go get it and throw it in the garbage!!

In what sense?

Let's put it this way. I submit to the teachings of the Catholic Church. I do not believe in, condone, or support same-sex marriage in any way whatsoever. I also do not believe that homosexual men should be admitted into the Catholic priesthood. However, I do believe that those with same-sex attraction and orientation are nonetheless children of God and should be free from bullying, violence, insults, and harassment; in his 1986 letter on pastoral care of homosexuals, which I will link below, then-Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger (later Pope Benedict XVI) said that it is "deplorable" (he used the word before it was "cool") that they are treated as such when it happens while still reaffirming Church teaching. I believe that they should be free from all unjust discrimination and that they should be afforded the same opportunities for employment and such.

And for the record, I have at least two cousins who are gay and my sister-in-law, at least at one point or another, claimed to be bisexual. I've also known and worked with plenty of gays before. So no, I'm not going "on theory" or anything here. I have real-world examples in my life.

As for me personally? You will never hear me use slurs. Though I am a traditionalist Catholic (we traddies tend towards being much more conservative), I'm not going to club someone with SSA in the face with the Catechism or other Church documents. Sure, I might be a bit of a loudmouth on some things around here - my feelings about the word "cis" are not unknown - but I truly don't hold gay people in any higher or lower esteem than others unless I have good reason to.

So like I said on another question of yours I answered today, make of all this what you will.

As a Christian. . . it's complicated. God created every person in his image and for a purpose. He also created us to enjoy and take pleasure in many things, including sex. God also gave us a set of rules/laws/guidelines, not to box us in or make us "better" than anyone else, but to help us have a fulfilling life. One of those laws explicitly prohibits LGBTQ+ intercourse/action. It doesn't warn against it because it's a good thing; it warns against it because it is a harmful distraction from a fulfilling life. I've always gotten along with the LGB community and likely always will. My friends know I believe it's a sin, but that doesn't mean I can't treat them with love and kindness while condemning the sin that I believe is destroying them. And yes, I excluded the T+ intentionally: +: You aren't a dog, cat, mouse, or horse. And you're definitely not a waterfall under the rainbow. If you want to pretend to be those things, that is your prerogative and right. It is also my right not to give any credibility to that. T: It destroys the individual's sexual health and I believe it is a complete and total lie fabricated by doctors, hospitals, and corrupt government officials.  
 The surgery itself costs over a hundred thousand dollars, and any person transitioning has to be medicated for the rest of their life to mitigate natural hormonal detransition. 
  Government officials have approved millions in funding to aid those transitioning, but I've never met or heard of someone who actually benefited from that aid. 
 Lastly and most importantly, any person who undergoes surgery will NEVER be able to orgasm again, even if they detransition. I cannot in good faith support this while believing sexual health is important.

I'm kind of sceptical of the need to 'celebrate' it though. And wonder if it's part of a deeper plot to subvert Western societies. Having children, bringing life into the world, is not part of the anti-life fashions which seems to preponderate..

So we have 250000 abortions in the UK each year. The green agenda, where we're told having children is selfish. Mass migration, where native cultures are being enfeebled and destroyed. Feminism, which has broken the natural sense of working together as one between men and women. Yeah be a 'girl boss', where you're enslaved by the 9-5 rather than the man, and still have to come home and do the housework. There is now an antithesis between genders. And the destruction of men, where we're told that men, particularly heterosexual and white ones, are innately evil.

Some feminists, and some lesbians, seem to just flat out hate men. Which is interesting in itself and definitely warrants some analysis.

As for the issue of Trans, people can 'feel' whatever gender they like. That is fine. But I don't not believe some crude Victorian surgery and pumping full of hormones changes a person's gender. It is also has been noted that a lot of trans children also have some form of autism.

Fuck whoever you want as long as they aren't children or animals and it is consensual. I was even ok with the marriage thing. The movement should have ended there, patting yourselves on the back for a job well done. But it wasn't enough.

Then a flag was formed. Then pride parades became mainstream. Then transgenders became a part of the group and demanded the institutions to completely give up the concept of gender and sex being synonymous to fit the delusions of the gender dysphoric. Then they demanded that transgenders be with the non-trans. Then they demanded to be represented in media.

Then the concept of sexuality, and politics in general, is being taught to little kids in schools to the point where they have been caught having pornographic books in the libraries. Then the movement is trying to include pedophilia as a sexuality but by softening the condition by calling pedophiles "Minor Attracted Persons" (MAPs).

That whole paragraph was where the LGBT lost me and the last two was what really lost a lot of normie support. It has lived long enough to see itself become a villain and must be stopped.

I support the LGBT+ community because I believe that as long as you're not hurting yourself or others, and that you're dating people who are consenting adults, you're free to love who you want to love. You should be free to change yourself however you want if it makes you feel more comfortable in your skin, because it's your body, and it should be your choice what you want to do with said body.

What I don't like about LGBT is the significant number of individuals who try to force their rules on me, and to denigrate me (and others) when we follow our own rules. I don't like Gay Pride parades and similar events... What would people think if we had a Straight Pride parade?

I think it's sad that marriage laws were changed. To me, a marriage is between a man and a woman. I have no problem with same-sex relationships, and a way to legalize recognize them. Just don't call it marriage.

Bottom line... We should accept people for who they are... Without making a big deal about it.

I don't expect people who don't share my religious views to live like someone that does. I believe that Jesus sees them as lost and hurting people. Morally, the alphabet soup rainbow crap is a sin. I am against it largely in that regard.

But we (or at least I) live in the United States, and people make choices. We are free to make choices, but there is a line crossed when others are coerced and pressured into embracing or promoting that rainbow people crap. 1. I am not in support of the whole pride thing. How you live in your private life is your own business do not put it in my face, leave it in the bedroom/your own house.

2. I do feel sorry for all LGBTQ people as I have suffered and went threw child abuse myself. And that is what makes someone turn into a LGBT or Q.

3. I do not agree to let live broken and the look at living broken from abuse is ok. Putting a non-broken mind in with two broken minds as parents to form another broken mind. As society we should have the aim to help heal all minds from past trama and abuse.

Now I was gay from abuse, and it took a lot of hard work to recover from the neglect of my father that got my mind confused. Two of my wife's brothers are gay and it's impossible to travel in SE Asia and not run into trans women. I don't have any problem with any of them and what they do doesn't affect me. I'm completely indifferent to anyone's sexual preferences. The only thing I would oppose is trans women competing in women's sports and changing in women's changerooms. I think there should be separate athletic competitions and changerooms for trans people.

As far as the LGB part of it, I'm all for live and let live. We have friends in each of those categories. As for the T portion, IMHO, I would ask that they stop identifying themselves as transsexual until after the sex reassignment surgeries has been completed after the age of adulthood. Until then they're transitioning. Of course, if a person is going after a permanent she-male or he-female stage, that's a different story.
