Texas is leading the charge! Processed foods will now be required to have labels warning that they contain ingredients that have been restricted in other countries.
Unfortunately, it seems that a lot of US citizens feel that their primary freedom is to kill themselves however they see fit. Generally i would agree. However, when your terrible choices impact the cost of my health insurance and my healthcare, then you’re infringing upon my rights. That is where your rights end, in my opinion.
Millions of people still smoke and drink despite warnings on those products. So i don’t think the warning is going to have the impact that it should.
Will such a warning cause you to rethink your food choices? Or do you feel that it’s your right to kill yourself and add to the already egregious costs of health insurance and healthcare for the rest of us?
