I never understood this. Literally every single culture on this planet regardless of skin color has at one time or another practiced slavery.

Whats worse, is the higher the level of education, the more people believe white people invented it. Talk about stupid.

does it matter who we think invented slavery? i am fully aware of the history of slavery and understand that it is as old as human existence.
but it doesn't really change anything in my mind. like i don't care who was the first person to rape a person. i don't care who the first race of people were to colonize and destroy a civilizations way of life. it's not particularly significant in defining my opinion on the matter
whoever enslaves another human is morally wrong. regardless of who the first person/race was to enslave a people

Because it feeds into white people being the root of all evil. It pushes this notion that withoit white people, the world would be better off. When that is straight up idiocy.

What does happen is that people rightfully point out that we should learn the full history of our countries, religions and civilizations, not just the parts that make us sound good.
Kings used to be right evil bastards who weren't all above killing children to gain power. Sir Frances Drake didn't just help defeat a Spanish armada, he was a slaver and a pirate as well. The British Empire had slaves a-plenty and treated its colonies terribly, but it also abolished slavery and disrupted the slave trade between Africa and the Americas a generation or more before the US civil war.
It's a mixed bag, it should all be taught. You, Trump and Republicans want to erase people and events from history.

Go into any art gallery in a Western European, or maybe I should just speak for the UK, go into the book section. Look at all the books on white slavery, colonialism, guilt, etc. Look at all the woke crap (which obviously has no artistic merit) interspersed with the genuine art and displays. Do they do that in any other cultures throughout the world? In academic circles, and in our schooling system. We are taught to hate ourselves. We are not taught to be proud of our culture, country and values. The flag is a symbol of shame and hate. Churchill is an evil colonialist. The fact is, European culture is in serious decline. There are libraries full of history books written about the glories of the British Empire, a transition to more modern books is what you claim you want: "Teach good and bad about British culture". It's a British museum, it's going to focus on Britain. Did you even look in a book about any other country?

At the place I work, we have an annual pride event. The whole place is littered with flags, paraphanalia, etc.
The town is currently 30% Muslim. When it reaches 60% do you really think those events will take place. Or will they be quietly shelved (not 'banned' of course) to respect the values of the community.

I happened to get lucky because my history teacher for 2 years used to do habitat for humanity and all types of other stuff and I traveled abroad with him a few times. So he felt it was very important to teach history properly because you'd go to places like Africa and Hati and he went to some very dangerous places on top of that. It really opens your eyes this shit isn't a silly game.

Did you know Ritual Cannibalism in Africa didn't end until 1918, a full 53 years after the abolition of slavery? They did it to themselves, then they blamed everyone else.
Black people are still being sold to this day by Black people in Africa who were selling people to the English amoung others, in the 15th century to this day. Repatriation money should be paid by these countries before trying to extort money from anyone else.

Because they don't know how to think for themselves and just blindly believe what their taught in school, and from my personal experience/observations, a lot of our teachers aren't very bright. Also, maybe they're scared to lose their job if they say something that doesn't fit the status quo
Because they're uneducated, that's the obvious answer. Another way to say it is that they are ignorant, but remember ignorance can always be fixed by education unless you go to an education system that does not educate truth into the equation which is a big problem today.
However, with so much area and so few people in the Stone Age, unlike in more recent times, if the conditions were too harsh, the slaves could run away, and some did run away, met and joined other tribes.
