Why do people hate mentally challenged people?

You think they are a burden to society and nothing will go good for them? No one wants to be in a relationship with them. How do they deal with this?

I'm not sure if they hate them, it's more ignorance and scared of what's not "normal" to them. There's nothing wrong with mentally challenged people or those who are autistic. Autistic people are extremely intelligent, and a lot have very high IQ'S. I can't stand ignorant people.

Those are not 'hate". Hate means "strong feeling of hostile " but also: are they not "a burden to society"? Is a "relationship with them" easier or harder than usual.

Yeah but other people are nasty to me and to go by the professionals

Depends, some people like taking care for others, they feel good to be good samartians and some mental issues are less annoying than others.

I know a person who got multiple sclerosis with 18. It's a lethal disease within 10-15 years. Her partner cared for her, did everything to help her, would never betray her... etc. While she developed some mental symptoms like OCD, depression, paranoia... plus all other physical symptoms caused by failing nerve system.
I met her over a year back by shopping and she was still with this guy but her condition was much worse. It has been true love by them both or such a hardship strengthens some relationships.
