Why do a lot of miserable parents try to encourage people without kids to have kids?

I am talking about the ones that are miserable for sure. The ones that complain about their kid giving them a hard time all the time yet they encourage people without kids to have kids. I don't understand the logic. Same with people who are miserably married.

I think sometimes it comes from projection more than intention.

If someone feels stuck or unfulfilled, encouraging others to make the same choices can make their own situation feel more normal or justified.

Other times, it’s just what they were taught , that having kids is the default path.

It’s not always coming from a bad place, but it doesn’t mean it’s the right advice for everyone.

Realistically people our age if we want to retire without killing each other a new baby burp needs to happen.
