Why do so many parents look down on people who don't have kids?

I have friends I used to really be close with, but one of my closest friends for a long time has 3 children. We used to talk all the time, but now she's got "mom friends" and cares more about them than us that don't have kids. We haven't talked in over a year, everytime I try to reach out to er she just leaves me read, although I never done anything to her

My husband and I do not have crotch goblins. We do not associate with our friends who have kids. I presume that the reason is parents likely can not do anything social without having their kids along and the kids interrupting.

In your scenario, I don’t think she’s looking down on you because you don’t have kids. I think she found some people who are also mothers and she can relate to them. For the people that actually do look down on people who don’t have kids it’s because they’re jealous.

Because having kids can be a tough road to walk down, and there are many of people who are scared to walk this road.

I’m sorry to hear that. That sucks. At the end of the day your kids will grow up and have their own lives and leave you…. It’s important to have a life outside of that.

It's okay if she no longer wants to reach out. She has other priorities now. I know it may be hurtful, but it's okay. She should definitely communicate with you why she no longer wants to hang out.
