Then if all consequences are missing, if there is no law, no morality, no psychology, I would have no conscience. No clear awareness of who I am or society. Then I would be a bird, a badger or a cat. Do you think cats killing birds is morally reprehensible?

and I don’t think animals can really be called "moral" or "immoral" bec they just do what they’re supposed to

In that case then I'm still bound by morality and psychology, killing someone would mentally break me, and if it doesn't, guilt will finish the job. So I'm a little bit too selfish to kill anyone, laws or not.

No, I did that with a bird and it broke my heart. I wish I'd never done that, to see the panic on the mother bird looking for her offspring. Even other animals have the instincts, it's heart breaking. I have no interest in killing people and try hard to avoid that.

I have purchased firearms a couple of years ago mostly for protection. I have thought a lot about the idea of someday having to kill somebody who has broken into my house. I think that if I had to protect my family or myself that I could do it.
