because they want the minority to get the job either way. it is not really about "same as character". 2. sometimes one voice actor (light skin) voices several characters including dark skin characters, so that is even better than 2 whites for two different characters. 3. i am shocked some singers pronounce words "ebony" pronunciation but are light skin.
