Do people who’ve endured extreme trauma ever deserve a mercy killing?

I feel like for people who've suffered a spinal cord injury, their pain is physical.

For those that suffered a lot of trauma it's more a mental death etc.

Can't compare the two. I would imagine spinal cord injury is much worse.

But I'm curious if people underestimate how lifeless it can be living with extreme trauma.

Well, for the sake of discussing trauma, chronic pain is never physical only, this pain bleeds over your mind, it has mental consequences. And, to an extent, psychological sufferings may induce physical consequences, which can be painful.

As for euthanasia, it's a societal theme about ethics, a quite heated one. On a case by case basis I think it's reasonable enough to allow euthanasia some legal existence.

In theory people with chronic pain should be allowed as an exception, but my ex had chronic pain and when she said "we need to go to a state with euthanasia" and i agreed as an exception , she got angry that i didn't want her to live. She wanted to live even more than her pain, so your theory is wrong. Death is the one constant in life. You can be the richest person in existence, but you will inevitably die and return to the dirt, just like everyone else. There is no such thing as "buying your way to human eternity". Death is the true equalizer. Between the finality of death and the being brought into life, there is "suffering". So, some people, descend into what I will "pathological equity", which is ostensibly an anger against the world, arising from knowledge of hierarchies. In the framework of "pathological equity", suffering isn't just a persistent state of being, it is degradation of the body. It is the inverse of "prosperity gospel", or that wealth is divine and if you are rich, God intended you to be so. It is another example of the furtherance of the "rich get richer and the poor get poorer". In this worldview, suffering isn't just bad because it causes pain, it is ontologically evil because it reinforces the division of experience. Poor people suffer more, because they can't afford to suffer less.

Therefore, the solution is that, it is preferable that people die quickly than to suffer for a while. Euthanasia is good, because it decreases the gap between "the haves and have-nots": if someone is poor, at least they should die quickly so that they get some kind of "compensation in death, for poverty in life".

I know how hard it can be, but a person must endure the pain till the end because killing that person is too hard, especially for their beloved ones, maybe they'll find a way to help them with time passing by and further studies are made, plus a miracle can happen!

I pray for god so he helps such people because either way it's terrible!

No, because trauma victims can recover. It's not mercy to rob someone of years of life because they're going through some shit. There are treatments for trauma that don't involve killing the patient.
