Why do people act like carrying a baby 9 months makes moms more important than dads?

I feel like especially nowadays when it comes to topics of parenting and fathers raising children and so on and so forth, I feelIt’s become this weird contests of who’s more important in a child’s life.

I feel like this generations began to see the big importance of a child having their

father in there life. But there are still some who are just like well yeah but the woman carried the baby in her stomach for 9 months so therefore she’s more important. Playing your role in the reproductive cycle does not make you more important than anyone else I’m sorry.

Is your role a big one as well as incredibly hard? Yes but it’s also an important one and should be treated as such and I’m not trying to take that away from anyone but in the end it takes two to tango and just as much as the role of the mother is important the role of the father is really important too and sometimes more so for some children:

One thing I think fathers don’t get enough of is the appreciation that mothers get and I’m not saying we should have the sam level but more effort should be put in.

I lost my father a few years ago and now more than ever I wish I could have shown him the appreciation he deserved when he was alive for what he did for me. I also hope to become a good father and help my children the best I can when it comes to navigating the world.
